At the end of the day though there's only been a very, very minor handful of attention seekers who have openly called for him to be sacked. Reading some of their views they dont even seem to be supporters of the club.
I think a few have rightly questioned the odd decision every now & again - but the banner above this forum says it all for me & I am sure the vast majority of true Charlton fans - it should be changed to 600% support though in honour of today's results.
Considering our team and style is all about effort, work rate and determination, that was a massive result against an in-form team. Usually a flair side will get an excellent result like that every now and then when things go right. Well down CP and the players.
There were a few dark days this season, but it's not as if we back Powell simply because he's a club legend - he clearly has a good grasp of what is required to be a manager and I hope he continues to hone his talent with us
Well I for one had a few doubts but I'm happy to be proved wrong ,just felt he could of attacked more in games that we were winning but sat back and drew or lost but I was wrong when I'm wrong I will hold my hands up can anyone else ??
I got it wrong. Thought we would go down. Never asked for Powell to go though. Absolutely delighted by the way - didn't enjoy thinking about relegation.
Its not just those that were moaning about Powell, but pretty much every single player in the side barring Chris Solly has been scapegoated at some point.
Jackson's too slow, Hamer's too cocky, Pritchard has no talent, Fuller's too lazy etc.
We've even had some point the finger at Yann when he was just coming back from injury!
Needless to say, many of those starting such ridiculous threads don't seem to post much these days.
Was at the game today and at one point the call went up 'Stand up for Chrissy Powell' and the whole of our support stood to a man. No further proof needed that Chris Powell is adored by the faithful.

Powell Out !!
The vast majority have been echoing what we have been displaying on our banner.
100% support.

I'm naturally pessimistic and there was a genuine chance we could go down as recently as a few weeks back.
How about we be happy at a magnificent and monumental away win and enjoy the moment for a bit?
Glad we've managed to push on for the final month or two and drag ourselves well out of it. Next season is looking to be a good one!
just to say i told u so and you need to believe me i am all knowing
There were no takers...
We had a run where nothing went for us,once that was over,we showed our true worth.
What a season.
