If Blackburn go down, they have a tonne of good players. Some will be too expensive but might be able to tempt others if we have a strong finish to the season. Not just Rhodes there...
Olsson brothers, Lowe, Rhodes, King, Dann, Etuhu, Goodwillie, Henley, Hanley and Kean... That's a whole team on it's own, most with international caps.
Listening to the radio, there were comments that Rhodes get you lots of goals, but does little else, so you need to build a team around him, with other players willing to do the running and chasing and defensive work And Blackburn don't have such a team, their midfield is highly paid, full of PL experience and skill... but old and slow.
24 league goals for Jordan Rhodes and in the bottom 3 imagine if he was at a good side it's not all about goalscorers
After his wonder season in the Third Division last season, many said he'd struggle in the Champs. Well, as you say, 24 goals in a struggling side in the Champs is a very decent return, although that tally does include penalties scored.
Mind you, Blackburn haven't always struggled this season - they were top at one stage and still in the playoff positions when Kean was sacked.
They were 8th in the table on 44 points on 12th February - which means they've taken just 3 points from their last available 27. Now that's what I call being in freefall.
This article about Blackburn on the 27th December is fascinating, as it concentrates on the disaster that would face Blackburn if they don't go up
"Supporters asked for an experienced manager but that is not Henning Berg's fault. Unfortunately it has not worked out, and it could turn out to be an £80m decision that has gone wrong - because that is how much it is going to cost Blackburn Rovers if they don't go up this season.

The issue with Rhodes was that he had only done it in the third division. I think he will get a big money move now. Even if Blackburn stay up (which I think is unlikely) I think he'll move on. His value could have doubled this season. Two good seasons and he's still only 23.
Actually, thinking about it, doesnt the Watford model fail in the Prem? - ie they are not allowed to bring so many loan players in from abroad? Would they have to bring in a whole load of players?
I presume they will buy many of their current loan players
Bristol City (baldock's done well then!!) Huddersfield (Nightmare run-in games, plus large negative goal difference One other, but don't think it will be Barnsley. They are the sort of club who will "roll their sleeves up". So Peterborough or Blackburn I suppose
As i keep mentioning, its Blackburn v Udd next tuesday, so i expect one of them to escape (unless its a draw, of course). Would be great for it to be Brizzle,Bburn and WW , but cant believe that will happen. The quality of the teams about to replace them doesnt seem that great either, maybe Dcaster(whos their manager now?), Bmouth and Bford.
Got on Smallwall at 33-1, got my fingers crossed as their goal difference is worth an extra point. Hoping cup deflation will further this bad run. Bburn winning at the den would help.
I think Barnsley will get out if it. Yesterday was a fluke and they have Derby at home this Tuesday and Huddersfield on the last day. If they win those two I think they will be ok. Forest and Hull will probably be tough though.
Wolves injury list like piggy said will be a huge bearng on the outcome
And O'Hara now out for 3 games. Theyve got Hull at home,us away, then Burnley at home then finish with Brighton away - not easy for them, and can only really see them getting 3 points against Burnley and maybe 1 more - takes them up to 52 points, which isnt gonna be enough methinks.

I'm ot as confident as you here as they've two defenders on an automatic 3 match suspension leaving their defence in tatters as well as the blow to their morale...

And now Bowyer has been summoned to India. It's not as if he's got training sessions to take...
Vydra certainly won't
Abdi would be the most important one.

Bottom three as is.
Bristol City have gone.
Wolves look very vulnerable
Barnsley have had the stuffing knocked out of them yesterday.
