  • If he posts something on twitter then it is fine on here as well surely?

Yeah, but i still don't feel comfortable posting it, I would copy and paste the link but I'm on me phone
  • Ha, has asked if he can call his kid Heisenberg. Ledge.
  • Who else could start a fightback like that ?
He steered us into this division and he is going to keep us there for another year.

    Love him to bits.
  • The same man who started the fight back against Cardiff, brilliant. Great goal as well
  • In a season where there has been no exceptional player in terms of performance Jackp must be in the running for player of the year based on his ability to lead this team?

think he knew we needed something before the break, took the game by the scruff of the neck with that goal.

Was saying the same today about how he single-handedly dragged us back into the Cardiff game, and did so again today. Thought he faded a bit in the 2nd half but we'll take that.............
  • I still remember the slag off thread that kept floating to the top like a renegade turd after every match at the start of the season.

He's our skipper and has won us more points than he's cost us since he's been at the club. Today being a prime example. Some people would do well to remember that.
  • Jacko is a funny one for me. If you search on here you will see I asked for us to sign him before he signed. I have always loved his footballing brain and I also love watching decent left-footed players.
This season I have been quick to criticise him and accuse him of having no pace.
Even against Cardiff he may well have got us back into the game, but I also had him at fault the both of their goals.

There have been times this season when I have thought any minute now he's going to knock it on the head and say he's had enough - games when he has been a real pedestrian. That said I thought today he was excellent. I believe having Hughes there doing the mopping up really worked in Jackos favour and allowed him to be a little more creative.

Whether or not he feels there is another season in those legs is entirely up to him however I am really genuinely hope he's taking his badges and is looking for a career coaching at Charlton once he finally calls it a day Because genuine goalscoring midfielders are as rare as a rocking horse poo

Great effort today skip *doffs cap*
  • Captain Marvel did today what he does best: what it says on the tin. He leads by example when it's most needed.

2 goals down and heads were dropping. Boos from some of the "faithful" and something special was overdue.

Just when you thought it was all over who stepped up a gear and changed the game for us....again ?

Mr 5 Foot Three may be our most consistent player & I love him dearly ( like a Granma of course) but there's only one Player of the Year for me this time .

    Johnnie "Ronseal" Jackson.

Well played Johnnie. Very good game & his goal dragged us back into it.

But POTY, do me a favour.

He's behind Solly, Morro, Cort & even Hamer imo & probably level with a few others.
  • I love Jonnie and all the lads,so special today!! So happy seeing the boys showing they had a set!!!! Charlton I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • That day at Carlisle when he ran over to us.I love him Charlton in his DNA! My sons still talk about that day!
  • JJ is a brilliant captain

There's only one candidate, Chris Solly. He's had about 90% good games & 10% average. He hasn't had a bad game.
I'm afraid Jackson had a load of stinkers, especially before xmas.
  • He was Captain Fantastic today. I guess that makes Dougie Freedman the Brown Dirt Cowboy.
  • Voted Wiggins last year - Solly this time
  • Voting him this year

  • Or Frimpong
  • Obika would be my second choice
  • You can write him off all day but he'll always pop up to drag us back into games. Not just any old games, but really important ones. Goals against Cardiff, Watford, Peterboro and Bolton have come at crucial times this season. Plus every time he scores it looks like his heart is going to burst out of his chest. Love the bloke and love how much he seems to care about the club, especially after some of the uninterested dross we've had in the past few years
  • Proper captain's performance today.

Am gonna try getting his name going to the Batman theme at Barnsley. Whoever came up with that idea originally, I commend you.
  • Love him great player and skipper. Think he loves being captain and can see him playing his time out with us.
  • Yep, definitely a Charlton-type player. Just when I think he's not good enough any more, he puts in a real captain's performance and proves me wrong. Solid player; as influential for us as anyone I can remember over the past 5 years.
  • is he a Charlton Legend yet?

  • Regardless of his football ability we would have been on the end of a right tonking on Saturday, if he had not been captain.. Great leadership. Great character.

I believe that takes him up to ten goals for the season. That's a fine return from midfield, especially as he's been off penalties for most of this season (and missed them when he was on them!). He has scored over half his career goals in the 3 seasons he's been with us. So nice to have a few players that we've managed to bring the best out of where other clubs have failed instead of looking on enviously at ex players' improved form elsewhere.
