Why do we not hold away fans back in for 20 mins after end of game in high risk games?

  • I make you right there Steve, I was talking to a mate of mine tonight who is one of the "old faces" at the Den and he said a lot of the old gaurd have not got tickets but rest assured they will be coming Sat, his mob are drinking in a pub in Charlton believe it or not from 09.30, apparently the guvnor is Millwall and he is opening for them.

And then what do they do? The game isn't on tv so they can't watch it. And if they leave the pub the old bill will be straight on them.
  • Stuwall
  • Fear not. One hopes that our friends from the Wild West shall be on their best behaviour, for they are well aware that we are a proper, traditional club, and thus shall be humble, polite and respectful. Rumours indicate that Half-Time entertainment shall see a premiere performance of a specially-commissioned 'Song of Unity', entitled 'The Red / Blue Robin / Lion'. The swapping of scarves and pin lapels shall occur at 5pm prompt, irrespective of the result.
  • Can I just say, OUTRAGED!
  • Remember the 4-4 game there were a couple giving it the biggun in the NW quadrant, one was laid out & the stewards had to half carry him out, the other took a slap, ran down the stairs & wasn't seen again

  • Those that cup water with their hands should expect wetness on their toes

I don't expect there element will even go to the game, but fully expect them as we come out.In a variety of different places, don't be surprised if they come from both ends of Floyd Rd.

You taking your boy mate or are you out for the day?

gotta work first thing mate, so will be leaving work about 11.30, not sure if littlen is coming yet

  • Blimey, a group of lads want to get on the lash early doors and it's considered being sad!!?
I'm sure some will get briefs and others will try their luck, as many do up & down the country every weekend.

Sounds like more pubs are opening for Millwall in Charlton on Saturday than for Charlton...or are you using the 'secret knock' on the door for a couple of your watering holes?

Lads? This isn't a group of 20-25 year olds having a few beers before going to the game.

This group of 'lads' are probably all 40+ years old, don't have tickets for the game and who no doubt don't even care about seeing the game as long as they get to have a fight at some point. Yes that is sad.

  • They probably won't even have a fight. But it makes them feel better when they can later say things like "they ran", "we ran you" and all of that shite. Even though nothing would have happened at all!

  • I must have missed something. Which pubs are open for Millwall?
  • All this talk of 'pulling the Lions tail' What complete and utter tosh. We sold our allocation, supported the team to the hilt and gave Millwall fans something back after so many years of being on the receiving end. There'll be a great atmosphere on Saturday and hopefully we'll take advantage of their misfiring fortune of late. COYR's !!
  • Ooo the testosterone is oozing from this thread!
Its gonna be the end of the world, I tell thee!

  • I'm hoping they keep all the pedestrians in until the West Stand car park has cleared ;-)
  • 16,000 troops recalled from overseas action - we'll have a soldier each to take us home. No problem.
  • Is asda going to be safe afterwards?

I've got to do the big shop after the game
