Tickets for a fan from South Africa (Charlton vs Millwall game)

Hi everyone.

I am travelling to London this weekend and would really like to watch the Charlton vs Millwall match.
I am from South Africa (Cape Town), so I can't buy tickets due to the restricted sale.
(I can take a picture of today's newspaper with Table Mountain in the background to prove that I'm from South Africa)

I will be with my Dad, so I am looking for 2 tickets to the match. (I am happy to pay for them)

I have supported Charlton since I was 8 years old - I started supporting them when Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish played for them,
as they were my 2 favourite players at the time (since they were 2 of South Africa's best players).

I guess it's impossible for me to prove to you that I support Charlton,
but hopefully some of you will believe me and will be able to help me find tickets for the match.
If it helps I will post a picture of the A1 canvas I had printed of Charlton's celebrations when they won the League 1 last year.
Maybe this will convince you guys that I do in fact support Charlton.

Thanks
Warren

    "Played for them" .......?

    Sorry, mate. You've been rumbled.

    ;o)
  • Here's the canvas I had printed of their league champions celebrations.

    How have I been rumbled?

Sure Warren, I'll get you two tickets. How about I lend you my Ferrari for the weekend as well? Maybe you can stay at my house while we're at it? As I'm feeling generous, I'll even let you have a go of my missus. Fill ya boots lad!!
  • Maybe you could cut yourself and take a photo to show people you bleed red and white.
  • Warren. Which famous Charlton player committed suicide on Table Mountain?
  • In all seriousness mate, if you were that interested or committed you should have sorted this a long time ago, by either building up relationships on here or talking to the club. There are a lot of Millwall looking for tickets and this is a high risk game. Leaving it this late you won't get anyone seriously willing to risk helping you. Sorry mate.

That's mighty big of you. As you're willing to pay for the tickets and you're such a fan that you've been a member for three months and have contributed two whole comments on Charlton Life I'm more than happy to get you the two tickets on my red card.

Just post your home (billing) address, your long credit card number, the name as it appears on the card, the expiry date and your three digit code on the back of the card and I'll order the tickets for you.
  • Try asking Seth Plum, he's obliging.
  • Honestly I reckon millwall could sell more tickets for next Saturday than they did today...

    Little old charlton eh
  • amazed at how many international visitors are coming over THIS weekend.
  • Assuming this game isn't the sole reason for your trip to london, what else are you coming here for this weekend?
  • Which is why frodo was fake as is this one they are all small will
  • Can we organise a sweepstake or open a book as to which country the next International "Charlton" fan will be begging tickets from ?

  • Warren,

Which Avenue is the Millwall training ground on ?
  • Will be china i reckon
  • In fact, given the username, I'd go as far to say that it's our old friend Bunny.
  • Any requests from here on in are likely to be Charlton. The spanners won't be able to stretch their dole money across three games in one week.
  • Welcome Warren,

I know you are posting from Cape Town. However there are restrictions in place whereby if supporters buy tickets for people they later discover are not home fans, then they will lose their memberships amongst other things. Unfortunately, it is unlikely anyone will be willing to help you i'm afraid.

This is the only fixture that ever has these restrictions, if your trip was at any other time there would be no problem.

    All the best

AFKA, you've completely drained all of the fun out of this thread now!! How could you?

    Sorry Warren.
  • I don't do fun. FACT

mate if you wanted fun you wouldnt support CAFC

  • @Warren I heard about this on CharltonLive this evening.

Warren if you are Charlton, I sympathize with you as it's going to be really difficult to get a ticket.

I can only suggest you call the ticket centre and explain the situation. Did you ever have a ST before you moved to SA? They may be able to search for things like that, if you can prove your address etc before you moved??

I wouldn't count on it though. Best of luck...

Well, since you asked nicely and The Boss reckons you are actually in South Africa, I'll tell you.

Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish didn't play for them, they played for us.
If you were proper Charlton, you'd know that.

And here's another smiley winky thing, in case you missed the first one.

    ;o)
