  • Our run in is difficult :(

    Millwall H
    Bolton H
    Brighton A
    Leeds H
    Barnsley A
    Cardiff A
    Wolves H
    M'boro A
    Bristol City H
  • I don't think you have 'difficult run ins' in the champ, anyone can beat anyone on a given day. Strange league
  • Thanks for the comments lbtf. I think you'll stay up.
  • Thanks mate but you are way off the pulse.
Powell is useless and doesn't have the first idea about managing a club

    Oh wait, we won today?!?!?!

    Viva Powell!!
  • I honestly think we will win the next 2 home games

I also reckon we will beat Cardiff and Barnsley away

Then we will beat wolves , boro, bristle

I agree with that. I doubt ours looks any more difficult that any other team's run in in this league. It would seem to me that the teams to avoid at the moment, may be Bolton and Forest and we do have to play Bolton. If you take out the history, Millwall is a team you would want to play at the moment! I have a feeling we will beat Cardiff too - I doubt they are looking forward to playing us.

The average league position of our opponents is 13th which is not too bad. But, arguably, there are no easy games.

A fantastic statistic to prove a point.

I can't see Town going down either and don't know why, but good to see a pitch as bad as ours.
  • Cheers for the feedback townfan.
  • Bar the Scum and providing we don't get relegated, I'm not fussed who goes down.

Nothing against Huddersfield, but its always nice to get one over them, only due to a work colleague who is always so cock sure that they are going to beat us everytime they play us. (Friday being another example of being told this) They are now christened Barcelona by a few of us.
  • Great comment LeedsbasedTownfan. How refreshing to read something like that. Always had a soft spot for Huddersfield as when I was at school we beat them 7-6, Bill Shankley was their manager. The great Dennis Law and Ray Wilson started off with you. Good luck for the rest of the season!
  • I watched The Football League show last night LBTF, you speak with forked tongue, clearly you were absolutely all over us apart from our spawny goal early doors... After all, the highlights don't lie... ;-)

dont know if you were being serious or not but those highlights were pony ,we did have a few decent chances to kill the game off which were obviously not shown
  • Not being serious Matt, don't worry.

    Sold what? ;)
  • Going to be a real dogfight at the bottom this year but I think two of the bottom three will stay there. The third drop team could be anyone from about seven teams. Hope it's not Hudds and don't think it will be.

  • too many changes of manager for you Terriers .. too much chopping and changing of players and tactics at the whim of an owner with unrealistic expectations
  • Fair play Townfan.
I think there's little to choose between most of the teams from 8th downwards.

    Definitely this
  • I would be very worried if I was a Town fan. We were poor yesterday, but they put in the worst home performance I've seen this season, Bristol City excepted. And us, obviously.

They looked listless, we sat back and invited attacks which is usually a bad, bad idea but Huddersfield didn't really trouble us at all.
  • Not being serious Matt, don't worry.

Thank god for that think that show has a bit of a downer on us.

Smithies was the man of the match in the corporate but looking at the highlights you would have wondered otherwise!
  • I was shocked at how easy it was for us to take this game by the scruff of the neck. The win was never really in doubt. Not that we played well or dominated. The result was very pleasing as it was hard fought and not just backs to wall. Some of our defending invited pressure straight back on us, but it was never really converted. Strange as Hudds were such a strong unit last term, as were ours and wendies. This league is definately tougher than all of the promoted teams fans bargained for.
