The shadow cast by their record number of relegations from the Premiership, their two admins in 10 years, their empty trophy cabinet and founder membership of Division 4 are all things we can only dream of.
Our major trophy win, 33% higher record crowd, more seasons in the top flight and in the Premier league and higher top flight finish all pale into insignificance compared to that.
If only we had copied Benfica's nickname and Barcelona's kit we'd be a big team too.
The Brighton manager threw some money on the floor and told the palace fans, who must have good hearing, "This is all your worth", and so started the hatred! How can you not hate someone for that?!
