On the Brighton thing, they always got decent gates at the Goldstone, and then were restricted at the Withdean to 7,000. No real surprise they get such big gates.

Brighton "where were 15K of our supporters when we were sh*t" & Hove Albion is still a valid nickname....
They couldn't even sell out their last ground which was something like 7,000. They've been invaded by a lot of premiership fans who treat Brighton as their second club. Give it a few years for the novelty to wear off and they'll be back in the lower leagues where they belong. Vile club.
  • Not sure if Ooh ahh will have the stats (he prob will) but looking at those average away figures. How many of those teams bring more than their average to the valley?

For example Burnley brought brought over a 1000 to the valley but average 903.
  • On the percentage front we're probably higher than Brighton, what a pointless statistic.

  • who did boro only have 1534 against?!?!?
  • and how come Leicester only got 8.5k one game? they must have double that in ST holders alone.
  • and how come Leicester only got 8.5k one game? they must have double that in ST holders alone.

they only announce numbers through the gate
think it was m'boro(possibly live on a friday night) and they somehow managed to get 400 odd there it was during the horrendous snow

most teams bring more to the valley than they would to shitholes like the scum or the croydon goons ,i'd like to think it's because of the nicer day out etc but may be cos they're more than likely to get a result !

It must pain you to see them rapidly becoming the most 'on the up' club in the Football League. Pretty much everyone I know has got a lot of time for Brighton considering the journey they've been on.

Palace's support is made up on a whole load of "novelty" aspects, how rich!

Most don't go because of Ken Bates and quite a few don't go because of their expensive ticket prices

Everything about that club sickens me from their wonky new stadium to their wanky 'new' fans.

On the way up? We'll see about that. I'd rather you get promoted than see those tossers go up.

Of course you would as we're only your 5th most hated team.

Just bore off Nigel and go and make some more banners with the crayons you got from mummy for your birthday.

On another forum I post on there was a thread about teams you don't like other than your traditional rivals. A young Reading fan suggested Brighton (and about 10 other clubs!) various posters from mainly northern clubs asked "How can anyone hate Brighton?"

    Vile club, ffs...

In what sense could any reasonable person describe Brighton and Hove Albion "vile"?

When you support an irrelevant club with no history that needs some sort of weird purpose.

fair enough. i don't blame them.

do they go to another club? or just avoid live football in general?
  • When you're talking home support you have to take prices into consideration and we know how good ours are, esp comparative to Palace and millwall.

That will explain Leeds too - very expensive and they detest Bates.
  • Leeds Rhinos also get about 20,000 every time they're at home, maybe some fans have taken up roogby league
