    .
  • We needed the first goal and we would've romped it.

Needed that third but wasted a couple of chances and Button should've saved their second. Conceding silly/avoidable goals is costing us maximum points, so frustrating.

Kudos for Harriot's second half, Wilson is faltering, Morro looks nervous. Fuller offered nothing, as did Obika. We lacked a cutting edge. Again.
  • Obika nearly scored a winner.
  • Leicester went down with 52 points i think a few years back, I really feel we need at least 54 points to be safe.
  • whose Mark Gower

Where did this Mark Gower link come from?

Good to stop the rot. Sounds like Harriott grew into the game. Sounds like we had some fight which was good to hear. Let's carry that into the next one and build on it.

Age old link. Probably nothing in it.
  • Great point, stops the rot of consecutive losses.

Glad we scored a couple of goals too.
  • Its a great point in context as it knocks them and the hope of pulling us right into the mix loss tonight and they are reeling us in

Can't believe Huddersfield went on to win tonight.

    This league is ridiculous.

I think we'll get something on Saturday. Looking forward to it.
  • brilliant point as the squeeze at the bottom gets tighter ......us ,scum and hudders on 44 pts with GD of -5 , -8 and -24 Blackpool have 43 pts and a GD of +1 .... crazy league when the team in 16th has the worse GD in the league and the team in 17th has +ive GD .... wibble

if we can follow it up with a point at hudders then it's a decent week for us .... p'boro away to leeds and barnsley home to brighton are next weeks catch up games

fairplay to harriot doing something in the 2nd half hopefully his confidence will get a lift from that and he can push on

still nervous about this season but we should scrape thru and it's always a relief to be above the scum in the table

    7th-12th 15% .................13th-21st 65% ........the dreaded R 20%

we are now only 6 points off relegation to a team who have a game in hand.

    worried?

yes but reckon our away form will see us safe
  • A reasonable result but we are still in a precarious position as is at least half of the league. You could need 53 or 54 to survive this year.
  • How close to playoffs are we lets have some balance
  • I would be delighted to draw all of our remaining games. Anyone got a bus to park?
  • We have Wolves and Bristol to play at home and Barnsley away, if we can pick up a few wins before then we can breath a bit easier

The key is to beat, or at least not lose to, the teams below us.

Do that and we should be ok.
  • Walked all the way through the town centre from the station to the ground and didnt pass a single newsagent, off license or open take away. Peterboroughs a shit hole.

  • Maybe a loan signing to freshen things up in midfield and then push on for the remainder of the season to see it out and keep clear of the pack behind

Was thinking the same thing. No raziak or frimpong kids, an old head from the prem.

    Shaun Derry type?

What happened with the second goal - was Button at fault?

From where I was standing it looked like it went pretty much through his hands but I'm not 100 % on that
  • Missed their second as we were being extra antisocial and throwing around toilet roll.
  • Morrison shocking attempt to tackle for first goal piss poor tbh

2 good goals from us looked as if mozza redeemed himself witj header that led to second goal

Button poor starting postition for second should have done better

Just seen it on SSN, very hard to judge. He seems to have gone down late. Nobody closed the bloke down though, and the first Posh goal wasn't too clever either froma defensive point of view
  • Can't blame Button for the second. Showed the goals on Sky Sports news and Jackos is a belter.
  • Good game, I fort we could av won it. What a contrast to our home displays.
Haynes was quality he must play as our main striker.
Wilson was poor seemed to hide.
    Morrison looked shaky.
Need to see replay but I thought button should av saved the 2nd.
Harriot had a good 2nd half.

    Great atmosphere.

    Until steward nicked it...
  • On train back. I think we were marginally the better side overall but you can't really argue that a draw wasn't a fair result. We dominated the first 25 minutes but then got caught on the break when their player seemed to go straight through Morrison's tackle.

A very strong start to the second half - superb late run, control and finish by Jackson and then Haynes lashed in - and we could easily have had a third. We failed to close down their player on the edge of the box for the equaliser and it did look a fairly central shot which Button should have saved, although it was down the other end and seemed to bounce over him.

Overall, very happy with the performance. Solly, having got done once in the first half, was an attacking force in the second half and I thought that Wiggins, Harriot ( when he found his feet) and Haynes did very well.

Great support from the travelling faithful and it was a tremendous atmosphere behind the goal - a bit like being transported back to a 1970s night match in the Covered End. All in all, a vital point which keeps Peterborough at bay - they can play and I have a feeling that they may yet get out. On the firm assumption that it won't be at our expense ( which it won't ),I kind of hope they do - a great real ale pub crawl, a Cathedral and terraces behind the goal. What is there not to like ?
  • Its being picky but if you asked button and his coach they would say he is a pace from the postion if they were being honest
  • Nice report, Blucher
