Hi Len, the search continues, Ben and I have had an afternoon at Greenwich Archives but there are plenty more yet before we have the answers we are looking for, as we are both involved with the museum we are hopefull that something might also come in via that.
We did ascertain through the old press reports that Charlton's first and true rivals were not Millwall or Palace but the Army Service Corps XI based at Woolwich, perhaps we should challenge them (now The Royal Logistics Corps) to a one off match!
We will keep you abreast of anything we do find and rest assured the hunt for the missing wartime addicks continues,
