CP 3.0 Too may changes to provide a settled performance; doesn't make sense selecting Wilson and then putting him at right back. I accept CP is still on a learning curve but at the moment he seems to be getting it wrong too many times for comfort. In his favour his team have to contend with the worst playing surface I have seen at the Valley in years; no wonder we do better away from home!

With Sols injured who would have put at RB in that situation?
Defvite in the back four lineup for what it's worth!

  • Button 7 - He was fine.
Wilson - 6 One very good cross for Haynes's header. He did ok but might have been a bit slow to support Green towards the end.
    Morrison - 6 Steady enough.
Cort - 6.5 Won most of his headers.
Wiggins 7 Got better as the game went on. Looking quite sharp already.
Dervite - 5 One superb cross field ball and a few headers bit not a lot else.
Pritchard - 5.5 Tried but system didn't favour him.
Jackson - 5.5 Same as Pritchard.
Haynes - 6 Looked likeliest to score....but not that likely.
Fuller - 5 One flick on for Pritchard and a lot of fouls. Didn't look especially interested.
Obika - 5 Tried but again the system gave him little chance.
  • Quite depressed by the result and the mood from the stands, should still have enough in the tank to avoid the drop.I would hate L1 football again.

Button 6 Not to blame for the goal. Hope he has a run in the team now. He was highly rated at Spurs
Wilson 6 Not his fault but we did miss Solly
    Morrison 6 Sound performance
Cort 6 Seemed to get injured near the end, hope he stays fit for Tuesday.
Wiggins 7 Getting better, looked excellent going forward and made a few good challenges at the back
Dervite 5 Can't function in midfield in the formation we were playing,we looked better when he was subbed.
Pritchard 6 Played well apart from not being able to shoot
Jackson 6 Kept going,we need a fast outlet to work with on the left
Haynes 6 Looked better when pushed up front
Fuller 6 Average, you expect more from him
Obika 5 Some people were on his back after 5 minutes, liked him at Yeovil and hope he improves

Harriott 6 Looked lively,as a natural leftie could he be the answer to our problems on that side?
Green 7 Looked up for it,I like him but he is so inconsistent
  • Button 6.5 - Pretty good, solid backup/could give Hamer a run for his money, unstoppable shot can't count it against him
Wilson 7 - Out of position, got forward well.
Morrison - 6 - Did ok, looked like he was a bit lost a couple of times.
Cort 6 - Knows his limitations, doesn't try and do too much.
Wiggins - 7.5 - So happy to have him back, a really great player who is getting more and more match fit with every game.
Dervite - 5.5 - Not bad but not great either.
pritchard - 6 - A lot better than many suggest on here, he has great foewsight and wins a lot of balls that the other midfield aren't even looking for
Jackson - 5.5 - Does ok but I don't notice him as much as I would like
Haynes - 5 - Pretty poor, got a let off for their disallowed goal
Fuller - 4.5 - Generally a bad attitude, I'm rating him on that game, not his Charlton career, and I feel that poor mark is fair.
Obika - 4.5 - The only times I really noticed him was when he was weak in the air.

Harriott 5 - Didn't do much, but didn't get many chances
Green - 8 - Everything went through him from when he came on until the end of the game.

    Green 7
  • Button - 6.5 - Had a good game, only one mistake which he recovered quickly to. Keep him between the sticks for now
Wilson - 6.5 - Did well at right back in place of Solly. Also linked up and overlapped well with Green when he came on
Morrison - 6 - Was solid apart from giving Austin a split second to shoot
Cort - 6 - Won most of the balls he went for and did keep Burnley's forwards quiet most of the time. Gave away to many fouls when he went up front though
Wiggins - 6 - looking sharper but not quite 100% yet. Wasn't helped by not having a proper left mid in front of him to link up with due to the 4-3-3
Dervite - 5.5 - Not as bad as some are saying IMO. Started the game very well with decent passing and breaking up the play but he did fade terribly towards the end of the first half
Pritchard - 7 - MOTM - Just dosn't know what the word quit means, gave it his all and battled for everything
Jackson - 5.5 - While he went for everything and tried to get the team going he looked well off the pace and lacked quality
Haynes - 6 - Best and most hardworking striker again, very unlucky not to score 2nd half and his hamstrings didn't break!!!
Fuller - 5.5 - We need to get the ball into his feet for him to play well and that didn't happen
Obika - 5 - Had no chance with the system we were playing, arial ability clearly isn't his strength. Deserves anthier chance though

Harriot - 7.5 - Start him SCP and to the rest of the team give him the ball more than 3 times in 30 mins, he looked very dangerous with the ball and beat his man with ease.
Green - 6.5 - Looked lively and up for it. Maybe worth another go.

Button. 6 No chance for the goal but did drop one
Wilson 6.5 industrious and looked to get forwards well - has to work on delivery
    Morrison 6.5 solid enough
    Cort. 7 very involved
    Wiggins 7 lively
Dervite 6 Won some tackles but not sure about him in midfield at home
pritchard 8 MOTM very good game i thought
    Jackson 6 ok
Haynes 6.5 lNeeded to be more central
Fuller 6 didn't dominate like he can
Obika 5.5 would have been better having Green or Harriot in that position from the start

Thought Green was excellent when he came on

  • Button - 6 - Don't see any real difference between him and Hamer in terms of quality. Had no chance with the goal, fumbled one shot (but recovered) and excellent kicking, plus he's more solid than Hamer physically which could be important when claiming the ball in a scrum of players. I'd keep him for at least another game
Wilson - 6 - Not his best position but thought he did okay
Morrison - 4 - Awful on Saturday. Took his eye off the ball several times resulting in missed or scuffed clearances, passed backwards too often.
Cort - 6 - Solid at the back and in the air
Wiggins - 7 - probably my MotM but needs help on the left
Dervite - 4 - Good defensively but shocking in every other way
Pritchard - 7 - Created our best chances and if he could finish we would have won that match comfortably
Jackson - 5 - Not really at the races
Haynes - 6 - NOT A LEFT WINGER!! Looked much better when playing up front. Poor control in first half, bit better in second
Fuller - 6 - Not his best game but showed flashes of what we know he's capable of
Obika - 5 - Didn't really see what he's capable of. Would like to see him get a game up front but now may not be the time (Fuller and Haynes up front for me)

Harriot - 6 - Encouraging but need to see more of him, and would be worth a shot away when there is a chance of a decent pitch
Green - 5 - If he could beat the first defender when crossing, without putting it out for a throw in on the other side, then I might be more enthusiastic
  • Button - 7.5
    Wilson - 7
    Morrison - 7.5
    Cort - 6.5
    Wiggins - 7
    Dervite - 7
    pritchard - 7.5
    Jackson - 7
    Haynes - 6.5
    Fuller - 7
    Obika - 6

    Harriott - 7
    Green - 8
  • These are all based on the second half, apart from Button they all get a big fat fuck all for the first half!

Button - 6 not much to do
Wilson - 3 Why did he run away from Austin and let him shoot.
    Morrison - 5
Cort - 5 Both Cort and Morro were way too deep all game.
Wiggins - 6 not back to his best
    Dervite - 5
pritchard - 6 lots of endeavour very littel end product
Jackson - 5 Headless chicken and a yard behind it all.
Haynes - 5 Worst I have seen him play
Fuller - 4 Worst game he has played for us, didnt look interested.
Obika - 5 first game tried too hard, should have looked for the simple ball.

    Harriott - 5 anonymous
Green - 8 MOM just for the urgency he showed when he came on. He showed up the other players with his commitment.

Powell - 2, he needs to learn to instill some commitment and passion in his team talks, at least get them to win the second ball. He got them going at half time but should have kicked their arses before the game.
  • right that's it, stats soon
  • Button - 6
    Wilson - 6
    Morrison - 4
    Cort - 5
    Wiggins - 6.5
    Dervite - 4
    Pritchard - 6.5 MOM
    Jackson - 6
    Haynes - 6
    Fuller - 5
    Obika - 5
  • Button - 6 did ok apart from one Hamer-esque flap
Wilson - 5 his best performance yet at rb still can't cross for toffee
Morrison - 4 his worst performance yet hopefully a one off
Cort - 6 not great but he gets smtn in the way when he has to - upfront he's a farce
Wiggins - 6 not quite back to his best it'll come but championship is a stretch for him
Dervite - 3 almost as bad as forest no composure or vision whatsoever
Pritchard - 7 gave us everything as always shame his finishing ain't great
Jackson - 6 plays to his limits which maybe ain't quite championship anymore
Haynes - 6 didn't quite get his role early on hard to judge him on such hopeless service
Fuller - 4 got frustrated by his colleagues' failings and his effort wained - not acceptable
Obika - 2 his might have been an unfamiliar role but he just sat down pretending to have been fouled or hurt very very poor typical loan sponger

Harriot - can't be assessed he hardly got the ball
Green - 7 useful and keen without really delivering telling balls

SCP - 6 tried smthn new and varied it earlier than he normally does, didn't quite get it right but better than recently which it so had to be
