It's certainly possible but we've left ourselves too much to do at this stage:
Cardiff - beat them at home Hull - only narrowly lost away Watford - beat them away palace - should've beaten them Leicester - beat them home and away
We are good enough on our day, we're just not consistent enough.
Also shows we are very close to being a very good team. For me Leicester are one of, if not the best squad in this division. I'm pretty sure they'll go up this year and we've just done the double over them.
I don't want to get into the play offs this year - it's the hope that kills you!
If by some miracle we went up this season I'd be quite worried about what would happen to our club.

we'd get a load of money for being in the premiership ... and if we go down again, a pile of parachute money to help us back up again ;-)
Better and more consistent teams above us. If we couild have turned a few of the draws into wins and a few of the silly late loses into wins we would have been pretty well placed but I would imagine thats what the teams below us would say as well.
Our home form needs to improve rapidly to be in with a shout. At the moment, our home form is relegation standard and our away is promotion standard. That's pretty much why we are in mid-table. We would probably need to win most of our remaining home games and pick up a decent number of points at some tough away games that include Cardiff, Brighton and Boro.
Think it might be a case that where we finish we end up looking back at games where we threw away wins in the last few minutes like Birmingham home and away, Sheffield Wednesday, games where we had little luck and lapses of concentration like Watford at home and that had we gained wins in those matches we may well be 6th.
This season will end up as learning curve to Powell with the main theme I think being the 'avoid lapses of concentration in the final 10 minutes and take our chances' in going into next season where I think we will have a real push at the play-offs.

I think we are good enough, but this recent run has realistically meant we probably aren't going to do it. We also need to sort out our home form which hasn't happened yet and in all honesty, doesn't show signs of doing so. I think we'll end up in 8th.
Win a game and we start a play-off thread, lose a game and a relegation one goes up. Honestly.
That's the beauty of the Championship as a league though. You're only ever one game away from a play-off charge or relegation battle. Certainly keeps it interesting...
If you are very lucky, you can scrape into the play offs with 70 points. That would require 9 more wins. A tough ask! Too tough in all honesty - whilst we are in every game, we are not thrashing anybody so the results are too much in the balance to go on that sort of run. The run needs to start now if it is going to happen!
Sneak into the play-offs, another trip to Wembley vs Leicester, 4-4 AET, win it on pens with Yann doing a successful chip done the middle much to the chagrin of the Foxes supporters storming about in a pitch invasion, the holy grail of Premiership, 20 th position and coming back with 70 million smackers in our back pockets to rebuild and go back up... That's the scenario ahead of us, mark my words... ;-)
I think the playoffs are now a bridge too far but I'm also confident we won't be in a relegation scrap and if someone had offered me halfway between playoffs and relegation at the start of the season I'd have taken their hand off.
cant see it to be honest.think there are more sides than us with bigger squads while if we get a few injured we may struggle.wherever we finish powells done a great job with the players he has got with only fuller and wilson as his only major signings

Hope to see get to 50 odd points ASAP and then see the likes of Harriott and Cousins get a chance.
We're mid-table this season, nothing more, nothing less. Enjoy it.
Welcome to the board btw...
We get 3 points and we start looking at the playoffs despite being 8 points behind with only 13/14 games left!
Haynes scores and he is good enough for the Prem and worth a few million.
Karmit scores and we need a statue for him.
This is why I love CL
Sounds like a plan to me.
Someone point it out to Chris Powell as he's still learning about football and might not have realised how to do it yet.
: - )
It's the type of league where everyone can beat each other on the day, but if you can do this more often, you'll be up there...
Cardiff slipped up last night
1 home win since September, no wins this year, in the bottom 3 now. They should be very worried.
