The game the Saints fan is referring to would be the 2-0 in 2011 but apart from the fact it was a night game and we were on a poor run was also due to fans giving it a miss due to the crowd trouble the season before when Saint fans reacted badly to us spanking them 3-2 which pretty much assured their relegation.
We do OK with our away following with a good 800-1000 hard core who do the majority of games- myself included.

I'd agree that your away support is mediocre at best. Your home support is quite dry too. But that's just my opinion, and every other clubs opinion of your support.
At least we have not had the shit ripped out of our support by Adrian Durham

and your support is 'glad all over'. wonder what other clubs think of that when they travel to your silent dive of a ground

To be fair they're probably grateful they can do some shopping as the ground is so handily located
Not overly bothered with the statistics of our support because I know that every away game we do our team proud. Not just for "big games". Bristol City, Leicester and Leeds; not the biggest numbers but one hell of a racket.

compared to you not selling out any of your 'derbies' home or away?
i was at the 2011 league game but in the saints end so our support was 301 or greater. was a dead rubber of a game, they were coasting to promotion & we were killing time before changing our entire squad
He is referring to the fact that himself & the rest of the Palace Ultras piss their pants, whilst being given a police escort to their own ground, that they pay for themselves.
