  • Sure we didn't win . sure its gutting to be winning and 'throw it away' in the last minute , sure we have been 1-0 up for the last 3 games and ended up not winning the game , but .... we did not get beat today , we'e stopped the rot , and i fully expect a 100% commitment effort and exemplary attitude and response from our players next weekend.
  • I'm doing a 'safety dance' even as I type this.

Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance then they're no friends of mine ....
  • wolves have won one of their last 10
millwall have lost 4 on the spin
forest have lost 4 on the spin.
boro have lost 5 on the spin
plenty need to panic before we do
  • There's no outstanding teams in this league not from what I've seen, all our games have been close. In reality we need 12 points from 15 games which based on our performances this season we should be okay. Can't get complacent though and we need to keep working hard every game.

Bristol and Peterboro will be the two defo's and I'm going with Huddersfield.
  • wolves look doomed

We played well today, so I'm not worried. We just need to stop taking the lead...

That might be a bit difficult if you want games

bet they wish they never sacked Mick McCarthy
  • don't think we will go down but think we could become involved in a scrap. M
Need to start taking our chances and quick. Been ahead in the last three days but emerged with only a point. Worrying.

  • Ipswich have dipped again, a few weeks ago they were pulling away bigtime, now they have hit a big slump again.

  • I would be more confident if we were playing badly and getting no points.

    How does that work?
  • Absolutely no chance are we getting relegated. We'd probably stay up with 50 points so 3 wins and a draw in 15 games? Not even slightly worried
  • I'd say the teams who should be concerned are the teams on a bad run, the two that stick out are Huddersfield and Wolves, Ipswich too, and as a outsider Millwall who seemed to have only won once in 9, Wood leaving them seems to have hurt.

Just to put things in perspective - there are 6 teams below us that are not in the relegation places. For us to go down we would have to be on worse form than all 6 of them and one of the teams in the bottom three between now and the end of the season.

If we had won today we would have been in 4th place in the form table over the last 6 games. As it is we are 8th. People do like to overreact!

To add to what you said particularly in your paragraph it shows we are relying on too many factors happening to go down this year.

aint you got a wife to beat
  • After today's game we are only six points of relegation with most of th bottom teams on good runs .

Our away form/performances are solid, that will be enough to keep us safe.
Having said that if we were to lost at Hull next week and the other results went against us we may have to start looking over our shoulder
  • We do much better away from the valley thoe !

    THIS!

  • Another thread like last year when those with small balls can't handle football

Those with big strong manly balls know we will be ok
  • Any comment with the words handle and balls in should be viewed with great suspicion ;0)
  • All men should be able to handle balls and football

Balls you should check as jeeza Kyle has just discovered

Football people need to man up and not be scared

I don't know if this link makes much sense to anyone but they do a number of repeats of different results to look at what the most likely outcomes might be for each team at the end of the season.

In our case, we have a 2.5% chance of finishing in the bottom three and a 2.2% chance of getting into the top six. It gives us a 51% chance of finishing between 11th and 16th.

Roughly 20% chance of finishing 7th to 10th and roughly 25% chance of finishing 17th to 21st.
  • Mathematically we're not safe. Realistically, we are NOT going down.

We are not mathematically safe from promotion either...

We will finish in mid-table this season.

Based on today, Birmingham have a lot more to be worried about. We just need to stop dropping deep when we have a lead late on

As this is feckin obvious to all of us can anyone tell me why the feck we keep on doing it? Been this way for years. Something we have been doing in a game has been working well, and we have a lead, so let's feckin change it and sit back, lose control of the ball and the game and piss off the fans. I really don't get it.

That site says a lot about the clubs that are really in a dogfight giving the likes of Wednesday and Huddersfield a 22% chance of relegation... convinced we will finish mid table but will be very glad when the next win turns up.

  • Unless we drop like a stone, then our following results will be similar to our run of results already this season.
Win a few, draw a few, lose a few.

    More than enough for safety.
  • Ten more points
