anyone who has been before know how far the train station is from the ground. Need to get back to Liverpool St to catch the last train home at 12.50. Train times form Posh are 22.16 and 22.36?
"Peterborough station is around a mile away from the ground. Turn right out of station and follow the main road, passing an Asda store on your right. At the traffic lights near to the Rivergate Shopping Centre, turn right. Go over the bridge and you can see the floodlights of London Road, over on your left. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the station to the ground."
A simple drive up the A1 from st Albans for me... probably an easier game to get to then the valley so i have no excuse to miss this game since i manage to make every home game.
We have a designated driver lottery when we get to the pub, so one of us can drive home after the win. Love the away day pub atmosphere and haven't had the chance this season due to getting valley express to away games, or not having time due to arriving at away towns with only an hour to spare before kick off (apart from watford but its a 10 minute drive and it really is a shithole)

Sounds like a good plan. give me a time and location and will see you there
maybe even see what can be done to get an official CAFC supporters club started in hertfordshire
Definitely going to this - we've just bought three terrace tickets and are taking a half day, so will be there before 2.
Real Ale heaven with several decent looking juicers all within that mile between the station and the ground ( or thereabouts ). Looking at http://www.footballgroundguide.com/peterborough_united/#London-Road-Peterborough-Pubs, what others have said on here and Beer in the Evening, the following all look pretty decent: Brewery Tap, Wortley Almhouses, The Cherry Tree, Palmeston Avenue, Charters ( the barge pub referred to by Covered End ) and The Coalheavers Arms.
If there's time, may pop into the Cathedral and the local museum for a quick breather, as they only involve a detour of a couple of hundred yards.
Looking forward to this one - I had a Rochdale supporting mate down for the weekend and so we went to Barnet to see them and I was spared our abject performance against Forest.
I think this is the kind of game that could see a fair number of walk ups - hour or so on the train, people leaving it to see what time they leave work etc.
Only 500 terrace tickets given to us allegedly. That being the case the walk-ups may have to sit-down. Also according to the OS the seats are a fiver dearer. For once I'm buying in advance.

Why would they only give us a section of the terrace?
On FGG it says there are 800 seats and when the away following can be housed here it will be, with the terrace closed. On that note I would assume the 500 is just an initial allocation and they will prefer to sell more terrace tickets than open up the seats. Also reduces segregation requirements if there are no away fans in the side stand.

There's more of us Hertfordshire Addicks than I thought!

Most people hanging on til they get paid this week + a home game this saturday = 1200 to 1500 in my opinion.
Leave it. This is a joke :-)
