How about that pub next to Gypsy Hill train station - last time I made the mistake of popping in (granted a few years back) it and everyone in it stank of piss. That's not so close to the ground though unless you're training for a marathon. Then again, nor is Sydenham.

Remind me what the pub is called that you come across when you head out of the AW and turn left down the hill then right onto the main road - sure there is a really grim pub up on the left ?

Good man Eltham, see you boys in there. Buzzing for this one now. Even after Saturday's debacle at the end, the fact that we're the away team gives me so much more confidence as oppose to being at home, funny old team are our Charlton!

You might want to double check, but I've heard that pub might be closed on Saturday. I don't think it was open for Brighton or Millwall and if it was, then it would be home fans only. But don't take my word for it. Call them and ask.

It's normally got a mixed crowd of home and away fans in there.

If you arrive enmasse the police will probably escort you into the Cherry Trees or herd you to the ground.
