Hello people, the other Palace fan here.

Looking forward to Saturday, but a bit nervous too. We havent been great recently and are probably due a home loss at some point and your away form is good.
    Maybe a 1-1 draw?

    So whats your score predictions?

I'd take a draw, but think you'll win. Probably a couple of penalties going your way as well. ;0)
  • We will get ripped off by some sort of jammyness on your part or a crap refereeing decision.
  • You lot sound just as upbeat as most Palace fans!
For us if Jedinak plays well then we have a good chance. However, If you can dominate midfield (which few have done against us at home this season) then you'll win.
  • I think we will lose. Or win. Could be a draw though. Any result is possible but after losing to the Masives I will not be happy if we lose this as well.

Can't wish you luck Fishead as that would be dishonest.

@susannareid100: Not looking forward to the next game at Selhurst Park when it'll be the away fans singing "he's just too good for you" #Zaha #cpfc

Looks like the nations favourite breakfast TV presenter has given us a song to sing on Saturday

I thought we were going to sing the Jeremy Kyle song?

At us??! Save it for millwall.

Funny, Brighton call us pikies because apparently us palace fans all live in south london council flats and millwall fans call us Nigel's because we're all surrey middle class to their working class. Though I'd actually say we're working class and they're under class.
I'd say your middle class but confused whether to pride yourself as that and call the proper teams in South London 'Pikeys' or come matchday pretend your from London.
Not sure about that myself.... Don't think anyone is confused as to where the club is from. Proper South London teams? Palace is as proper South as you can get. Any further north and you guys would be on the wrong side of the Thames!

No doubt you play in SE London albeit the southern most tip. The 'South London and Proud' on the back of your shirts makes it seem like your trying to convice yourselves though.
Well it's worked on me. Here I was all these years thinking we were from North London and not so proud.
  • Croydon joined London in 1965, so the majority of your long term fans supported the club when it was officially Surrey. The fact that your club feels the need to heavily push the South London thing reeks of desperation. Charlton and Millwall - proper South East London clubs.
  • I believe the ref on Saturday is a certain Mark Halsey?

    Correct bc.

No they aren't. They are from Isle of Dogs.
  • SE25 does stick out somewhat. The Surrey post code to the west is closer to central London.

Croydon joined London in 1965, but prior to that south norwood was not part of Croydon.

Crystal palace is the meeting point of 5 boroughs. Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth, Lewisham and southwark. People only mention Croydon because the ground happens to fall in that borough. We are a south London team, not a Croydon team (Croydon just happens to fall in the remit)

Hopefully we'll be moving to SE19. Back to our spiritual home.

Sorry, I mean selhurst was not part of Croydon before 1965.
  • Sorry, but Selhurst and it's surrounding areas are such sh*tholes that the proper part of South London has decided that you were never actually part of it.

    Sorry mate, them's the rules.

  • South London's embarassed by you lot... Stick to Surrey.
  • Surrey don't want them - let them go West.

    Feltham or somewhere like that.
  • This might not be a good thread to admit that I live in Norbury. Yeah, 14 years ago I moved to Norbury by mistake. Lewisham born and bred, I hasten to add.

Sh*thole? I prefer urban and cutting edge.

I've realised why we palace fans don't consider you lot as proper rivals. Hand on heart I've never met a Charlton fan before. So I've never had that banter with them. You lot are so far away from us that we don't tend to mix. I know countless Millwall fans, theres even a branch of that lot in my family. I think Chelsea and Fulham are closer to us Charlton.

The only time I can think of mixing with you lot was when we kindly let you stay over at Selhurst (I'm still waiting for a thank you).

How do Brighton factor in to your analysis?

You'll be waiting a long time.
  • Maestro I've never come across another Charlton fan in Croydon so I understand your point, but as the crow flies you're 6 miles from the den and 8 miles from us,not "so far away" as you put it
  • We are quite far away, we're all the way up in London
  • I've never in my life met a Palace fan in all my years of living in Charlton/Eltham/Welling/Bexleyheath........I know one Palace fan who's a client and frankly he's just weird.
  • As a proud south Londoner i feel a bit sick everytime I read or hear a palarser refer to south london as their home.

Surrey is a nice place - there is no shame in moving there and staying there.

  • Can't believe people are biting at this, frankly really lame, attempt at a wind up.

2/10 for artistic merit & 3/10 for effort from the Bournemouth jury.

True. Wrong choice of words on my part.

    Do you mean me?
