I paid £15 on saturday for a home game against a team on equal footing to us and we didn't have a shot on target from open play - which was the same for the last away derby (Millwall) and now you want me to spend double to see us get smashed by a team miles ahead of us in terms of attacking play.

No thanks.
You should have gone to Watford. 4 lovely goals there. I've heard we're gonna get 3 at Palace. 2-3 last minute winner
I realise that students have been told to take ID with them on the day but apparently the Club has now advised that over 65 concessions will be checked against ID which will be examined at the turnstiles....
I can see some loooong queues forming outside the ground if they stick to this .
Dont understand why you wouldn't go because you're scared of us losing. As is the same will Millwall, i couldn't forgive myself if i missed us get a result away to one of our rivals.
QPR fans didn't think i won't go to chelsea because they're bang in form and we are bottom so a loss in inevitable. You need a trip to the nut doctor if you don't want to be at these sort of games.

This. I'm sorry but if you don't want to go to Millwall or Palace away simply because they might be better than us then don't bother calling yourself a true Charlton supporter. Doesn't matter how many years you have been going - these are the games where we should be taking a full support regardless of ANY circumstance.
I'm sure we won't be as quiet as we was against Palace at The Valley. Or at least I hope not.
This is why I am still debating wether to go or not. I want to go because its palace, but I do not want to give those twats an over inflated ticket price. It is quite simply a piss take for this level of football

No chance whatsoever of that being allowed by the safety people/police, I should think, given the tight configuration of their away turnstiles. Flow rates are absolutely key.
I have purchased mine and my sons (£50 in total) after a big moan...I will refrain from purchasing anything from inside their ground - I will not give them any more cash!

wink wink nudge nudge for those considering student tickets....

I did !!!!!!!!
The main reason why I probably wont go is that i would like to take my 9 year old son with me. He has his own season ticket and has also gone to Forest, Wolves, Millwall & Watford with me this season (so probbaly more away games than some of you on here) - but the combined price for the 2 of us is £50, which I think is outrageous is these hard times. £18 for a child not yet a senior school is a rip off, and I don't think I will pass as a student either, so there is no way we can get in for any cheaper.
The bit about us playing c**p is a bit tongue in cheek, but having seen some of our recent displays (watford being an exception) hardly fills me with excitment about seeing us put in a performance, let alone getting a result.

Not going to disagree with you on the Palace tickets being a piss take but if you offset that against not having to pay much in travel costs it can't work out as any more expensive than Forest or Wolves surely?
Incidentally, read Airmans post about the student ticket thing, might be worth trying it.

So if you take ticket prices for Wolves, Forest,

can you honestly say that the whole day (travel & tickets) for Forest, or Wolves or even Watford came to less than £50? Because I seriously doubt it unless you drive an electric car.
All in all, it's pretty sad that people are justifying their choice to not go on here. For me this is one of the games I was looking for when the fixtures came out. Can't wait!
Many of my usual group aren't going due to the price piss take. There are still a few of us who are possibly going but i don't want to go there if a) we take a piss poor following because most have boycotted it b) we go on a complete nosedive performance wise whilst they continue playing so well. Call me a fair weather fan but gone are my days of blind loyalty although i would say that b) is not really an issue and if a) wasn't a possibility, i'd be there regardless.
My understanding of ticket prices for away fans, is that the home team, can only charge the same price as the home fans pay (although I maybe wrong)
I believe that all the directors from the clubs in the division should get together before the season starts, and decide what prices they are going to charge the away fans, therefore both sets of fans get charged the same.
I am p...ed of with what Palarse are charging but will still go to support the team. I will be getting four tickets on Wednesday. However as some have already said, I will not be getting a programme, Burger or a pint.

Just got to convince the wife that it is a good thing if i have been away for 10 days prior to the game.

Already over 500 sold from restricted sale and still nearly a month to go.

I think we'll easily sell what we have been given but I think posting a message on here listing "reasons" for not attending is very sad.
Anyone who doesnt want to go because we arent playing well and might lose - idiot.
