lineup vs Derby?

Team needs a proper shake up imo.

Btw not expecting anyone on here to agree with my selection, but we need to show certain players no-one is safe.
Hamer
Solly
Cort
Dervite
Evina

Wilson
Pritchard
Jackson
Kerkar

Hulse
Haynes

Ideally I wouldn't even play Kerkar, but theres no real other option, as I doubt Harriott can start yet.

Bench would be Sullivan, Morrison, Frimpong, Stephens, Green, Kermorgant, BWP

I wasn't at the game today so should't comment but I shall.

I think most of us were happy at 1pm with the team selection, but obviously it didn't work. So let's try this
On the left: we had a poor FB and Haynes who isn't a left sided player so that needs to be sorted, how about Evina and JJ/Cook/Harriott
On the right: Wilson should return
In the middle: Prit, Dervite & JJ/Steph
Up front: if 5 in midfield then Hulse to hold up
    Defence: no change.

    Bench: Goalkeeper / Dervite / Fuller / Kermogant / Green / BWP / Frimpong

Left half is a problem as Jackson is a bit slow / not sure about Kerkar either. We desperately need some improvement in that position. Green and Fuller for impact subs.

    4411

    or

41311 (Haynes link in centre between Hulse and midfield 3). Dervite to offer additional protection to back 4. Jackson doesn't have the speed to cover Evina regularly so that would be Dervite's job. Evina to concentrate on defending and holding position, unless it is clear that someone is backing him up / covering.

    Solly Cort Morrisson Evina

    Dervite

Wilson Stephens Kerkar / or Jackson

    Haynes

    Hulse

I pretty much agree with that. Wagstaff rather than Green on the bench for me but that won't happen. Waggy seems to be as frozen out as an eskimo.

I honestly wouldn't have none of stephens frimpong or pritchard in my team but the severe lack of choices we have mean they have to play.

I don't think we can afford to use one game to "show certain players no-one is safe", we might as well play the youth team if we wanna do that. Yes, I would make changes but not for that reason.

    ---------HAMER---------
    SOLLY CORT MORRISON EVINA
    ---------DERVITE--------
    ----PRITCHARD JACKSON---
    WILSON------------HAYNES
    ----------HULSE---------

    1. Evina in for Seaborne
    2. Dervite in for Stephens (maybe five changes is too many at once so leave this one, perhaps)
    3. Pritchard in for Frimpong
    4. Jackson in for Green
    5. Wilson in for Fuller

Have to agree with Callum. Pritchard and Jackson in the centre is our best hope. with Haynes giving us the option of 4-5-1 or 4-4-2.

We desperately need a new left winger though.

Keeper, Seabourne, Wilson, Harriott, Stephens, BWP, Kerm

Wagstaff was one of our top scorers last season. He also works his bollocks off and especially when he's been out of the team. Him and Haynea can swap wings.

Haynes can push up and JJ can move to the left to make it a 4-4-2 as well.

Pritchard should never have been dropped in the first place so deserves to go back in. We seem to play better with 4 in the middle and I think Hulse is the best option up top on his own.

    Evina back in now fit.

Seabourne is a LB/CB option on the bench and Wilson is a RM/RB option so we have cover and we can be quite versatile.

That's not the main reason, the main reason is because we we're awful today (and since Millwall really) and some players have been below average for a while now but seem to get picked time and again in front of others, which makes me feel they are Powell's 'Favourites' and if it was up to me they'll get dropped. Morrison is one of these players, for example

Does it matter what team we put out on Saturday, we'll probably lose in any case.

Getting a bit sick of the constant tinkering with the lineup - concerns me CP doesn't know who his best 11 are.

F*** knows who he'll select on Saturday. Just hope Frimpong doesn't play.

I do not think Stephens was as bad as others and if you have someone who is very defensive with him it should work. If wilson is not fit i would play Haynes on the right and Jackson on the left

Hulse & Fuller did ok but it was the midfield where we was overun, possibly drop one for pritchard and go for a 5 man midfield

Sound very good to me - with Wilson, Haynes and Pritchard we should have a busy up-for-it midfield. I would consider Stephens for Jacko, think he'll be much more effective alongside somebody who is trying hard. Jackson for Cedric if he's not fit enough yet. Let Seabourne and the Denchmeister return from whence they came.

Seabourne, Frimpong and Green out of the 18.

Hamer, Solly, Cort, Morrison, Wilson, Pritchard, Haynes and Hulse should all start if fit. Could perhaps bring in Dervite or Taylor - but it's the midfield that is the problem.

That leaves space for 3 more players from Stephens or Jackson (not both), Fuller, Dervite, Wagstaff and Kerkar.

We need more urgency and movement off the ball, therefore I'd have Wagstaff ahead of Green. Kerkar played a part in our unbeaten run, but maybe Powell feels he has seen enough and will continue with Harriott on the bench.

Notwithstanding the various problems evident yesterday, is there any reason why Hamer is auto-pick? If David Button is fit, he might be a better option, but his absence from the bench suggests he may not be fit. I haven't seen much of him (has anyone?) but he played in the U-21 match v Brighton at The Valley and had a great game.
