I'll be there, be rude not to seeing as it's one of the nearest fixtures to me. As for drinks I'm waiting to see if Operation Pig invites us round his for a couple of pre-game shandies before I decide.

I don't think he'll have room in his pigeon shed for a party, you could try the hillsborough hotel or the new barrack tavern instead
Loads of pubs in town centre. Walkabout on West Street is good for being picked up by cougars in the evening. It's opposite a bar called The Bedroom. Though not been there.
But weekend before Christmas it should be lively everywhere. For real ale lovers there's the famous Kelham Island.
Be very happy with 3 points again this year.
Was a stabbing outside the bedroom not too long ago rough little place full of 'locals'

@willieduff You don't need to go back to Chesterfield for real ale. With the odd exception, most of Sheffield's pubs do a decent pint. A trip to Kelham Island / the Valley of beers should satisfy your needs, but there is also some decent pubs in the centre of Sheffield.
Daughter at uni in Yorkshire to bring home, relatives near Huddersfield to pop in & see....so crazy pre-Christmas weekend in S Yorks has been planned. May well regret it, as I fear motorway misery and no joy at Hillsborough. But looking forward to good food & beer at the Milestone, and you never know...
Does anyone else feel that when the FA sort out the fixtures they should make the saturday before xmas a fairly local game too.
A time of year when people usually have other priorities and have spent most of their money on xmas presents etc and they make us go all the way to Sheffield. And yes i know our away support is not exactly amongst the best in the league anyway but it's still a trek.
A quick look at some of the fixtures shows you've got Arsenal at Wigan, QPR at Newcastle, Sunderland at Southampton, Barnsley at Millwall, Brighton at Blackburn, Portsmouth at Hartlepool . Surely it'd make a bit more sense to make this weekend reasonably local games too.

Just wish they had pie & mash shops up here - sigh.

Hope so.
Seriously, hope the lads turn it on for us and especially for those who missed last season's match due to train probs.
Altogether now .." Jingle bells, jingle bells...."
