There is a situation between Slater and the SLP, as I expect Henry knows. But I think it should probably be left to them to explain or not as they see fit. Kevin Nolan is potentially caught in the crossfire, as he writes for the SLP.
So who hasn't Slater got a "situation with", seems an utter Koc!
So 20 years back at the valley. A real opportunity to celebrate and show the club's history. It appears like the SLP has had a problem with someone in the hierarchy at the valley. If the SLP lets this become the story, rather than showing the history, that that will be extremely disappointing.
What about the Charlton supporters, who may buy the SLP or a range of the papers the group are involved with ? All that lost due to a personal spat ?
Been going on for a fortnight, so I don't think you can accuse the SLP of making trouble. They've said nothing. They also ran a double-page BTTV spread on Friday, while the Shopper and the remnant of the Kentish Times had nothing AFAIK.
The SLP has always been a Millwall paper, but in the fairness to them, the coverage on Charlton is always substantial, and at least they did a 2 page on the 20 year anniversary, unlike some other local papers.

I thought Nolan stopped writing for the SLP a while ago and was only to be found at the Greenwich Times these days?

That was the Mercury. The SLP use him when Richard Cawley is at Palace.
Read his tweets from last night. He talks about palARSE because they are currently the big noise in South London (not for much longer), he is definitely a Fulham fan though.
No Rich Cawley bylines, the sport all comes from his stand-in Edmund Brack. Usually that doesn't stop them doing a Charlton story, though. Hopefully all is okay with Rich.
