''Went to the same college as me. Couple of lads I know rate him very highly, supposed to be very good in the air, that's all I've heard about him though. He'll be tough''
Bohemians wish Kevin Feely well ahead of Charlton move
Official confirmation is not yet forthcoming on the transfer but the Gypsies have wished their promising centre back well on his English adventure
Bohemians have confirmed that highly-rated defender Kevin Feely is on his way to Championship side Charlton Athletic.
The Airtricity Premier Division club revealed on Twitter that the Kildare-born defender will move to London after impressing the club during two separate trials.
"Best of luck to @KevinFeely1 at Charlton from everyone at Bohs!," the tweet read.
Speculation mounted in recent weeks that the 20-year-old was the subject of interest from several English clubs. Feely spent a week on trial at Charlton in September and, despite reported approaches from Peterborough United and Everton, Feely himself suggested a deal was imminent.
He was one of the players of the season for the Gypsies last campaign but was out of contract at Dalymount Park. Nonetheless, Bohemians will receive compensation from the Addicks as part of the transfer.
Feely joined Bohemians in 2010 and featured for the club’s "A"and under-20 sides before making the breakthrough into the club's first team at the start of the 2011 campaign.
However, it was last season in which the defender caught the eye with some solid performances at the heart of the Gypsies defence.

Or that he's 6 foot 2.
That's the beauty of Irish.

What's he said on twitter? Seems we have some spare dosh for a punt (see what I did there) on this lad.
As a left sided defender will most likely get injured on the ferry coming over.
