... Also what an obnoxious side hudds have become. Used to play good football under Clarke, Now very physical yet fell over clutching their head when touched. Ironic the sending off was harsh
agree with you there ...very ugly team ...wouldn't want to see them every week
Played extremely well first half with virtually everything going through either Frimpong or Stephens. The ball to feet with quick snappy passes and good runs and flick ons looked to be a sign of things to come.
The sending off, in my opinion, was very very harsh. I thought both players committed themselves to the ball with no sign of maliciousness from either party. The sending off changed the game, and not for the better in my eyes.
Second Half, we were woeful. Fuller was anonymous and infuriated me with his bad decisions, like not opting to lay the ball off to either Hulse or Kerkar when we hit Hudds on the counter-attack. Overall, we were sh*te second half and Huddersfield's pressure in the last ten minutes definitely warranted a goal.
We threw 2 points away today, without a shadow of a doubt.
I sometimes wonder if I'm at the same game. Green was very dangerous when he came on and set up two excellent chances. It took ten minutes for anyone to pass to him in space. He must feel like a parasite. He should have been on at half time as Pritchard spent the whole second half unable to make a tackle. Hulse was utter garbage. He can't head a ball. Kerkar is not a left back. Played ok. Lucky not. to give a way a penalty for handball.
Green should have been on at halftime...presumably for Pritchard, is the inference? Yet Pritchard provided the assist for Hulse's goal.
Hulse was utter garbage. He can't head the ball .....yet he led the line well and scored.
Kerkar is not a left back. Powell already knows that. Who else was to play there .....Wiggins, Evina, Seabourne?
Our championship curse of the left back strikes again. Jackson must not want to play at left back but he is better than Kerkar. Kerkar is not a left back, and it unbalanced the team.
Jackson should play there for the team, even though, it is clear that he hates it. Kerkar is better off up the pitch. Jackson completely failed to work with Kerkar and I only saw him cover the left back position when Kerkar was up the pitch on one occassion. Very disappointed with his performance and attitude.
I never want to see Jackson at left wing and Pritchard, or someone equally slow at right wing ever again. It does not work. Having x2 non wingers on the left and right without pace in the centre, is doomed to failure. We badly missed Haynes today.
Frimpong, I thought looked quality and the game turned when he went off. I hope he is not injured too badly.
I was disappointed with Jackson, and Stephens, I thought was very poor in the centre of the park. Fuller was good but really should have passed to Hulse instead of shooting.
We need Wiggins or Evina or Seabourne back quickly. We need Haynes pace up front. We need Wilson back at right wing, we need Frimpong back for midfield. That midfield needs sorting out. We need a back up pacy forward to back up Haynes. With a fit team, we will be ok.
The referee was very poor throughout, soft sending off, and a succession of mystifying free kick decisions thoughout the second half. His jersey was also too similar to Huddersfield strip - I found him indistinguishable at times to the Huddersfield players.
I would have been happy with 1-1 beforehand but with the sending off, the manner in which we played particularly after Frimpong went off and conceeded the lead 5 minutes before the end of the game left me feeling flat and disappointed. Difficult conditions but the game was bitty and frustrating to watch.
Why not just retain possession? Whether it's at the back or front, just keep the thing especially if you 're winning and they have 10 men. I really get the hump when the crowd got on players' back for passing it around in defence. As soon as they did that, the players lumped it forward invariably losing it. And Huddersfield didn't have any concerted pressure, we just gifted them a goal from one of their few attacks.
Scrappy game which we didn't deserve to win. Again we struggle at home but then it looks like most sides struggle at home, theres so little between any of the teams.
Good to see Kerms back, Frimpong looked promising in midfield, hopefully Seabourne is fit asap so we have a left back back in the side. 2 points dropped at the end but 4 games unbeaten with the team having to change every week and we're only 5 points off the play offs with little worry of relegation this season we all would've taken that at this stage. Bring on Peterborough and then next Saturday

We'll just have to agree to disagree in the first two issues. I was backing Kerkar up in my original post, not criticising him or CP for picking him there. He played well despite being out of position as my original post said.
Coming away from the stadium after that late equaliser, I was worried that views on CL would be negatively affected. Don't think I'm far wrong.
Thought we played well personally. A few thoughts of mine:
People around me moaned when we passed the ball around the backline towards the end but what were we meant to do with Huddersfield's ten men behind the ball? Lump it forward and give away possession cheaply to their organised and hard-working side?
Alan Lee caused problems when he came on and ultimately I feel that was the substitution that changed the game. He threw his weight around and unsettled our defenders. We had a shakey five minutes with his introduction and it told.
Hulse lead the line excellently and did well without his partner in recent crime; Haynes. The guy never stops working. Unfortunately a yard short of pace and could've done better with the header but did well to get into the right position for the goal.
Fuller should've converted when we had that 4v2 situation at 1-0. That would've been game over.
On the right side of the pitch, Pritchard did well with a couple of threatening crosses. Later on, Green looked a threat and useful to bring off the bench.
Would've liked to have seen Kerkar and Jackson swap at half time but can understand why Powell wouldn't want to chop and change an already disrupted back four.
After his initial couple of mishaps, thought Frimpong was excellent with his tracking, tackling and pinpoint long passing. Hopefully he's not injured and we can see him on Tuesday and next weekend.
Move onto Peterborough where I hope we can pick up three points leading into the game next weekend. COYR.
Then he'll breakdown again and we'll have a 14 year old youth team player playing left back at the den .... Come on nolly you know if ashley cole was our left back down there it'll still only end one way ........

Had we moved the ball forward we might have scored another goal and taken all three points - all that passing around at the back doesn't get goals. We have shown that we cannot sit on a lead, so need to get forward a bit more so that there is at least a chance of scoring a goal.

Hear hear. Put it better than I could.
Same thing happened against Exeter last year, but luckily we had enough going forward against them to get that second goal in the second half and make the moaners look a bit silly. If we'd converted one of our chances in the second it would have been a very similar game

this for me................it seemed the players deliberately not passed to Green when he came on. Agree about Hulse (I know he scored the goal, but he couldn't miss) and I think Kermy should have replaced him. Should have brought on BWP and got him to run at them.........also agree with earleir comment about Fuller.
Anyone seen the Millwall goals from today ??????? both 25 yarders - someone had better tell our players that we are allowed to shoot from outside the box
too many other issues & too fed up to post coherently, apart from the following:
unbalanced midfield no width (how many times have I said that this season) Hulse & Fuller dont work Fuller is the only player who will run with the ball - never know so many players who want to get rid of the ball like its a hot potato lets turn the pitch 90 degrees and then every sideays pass will be a forward one.
I appreciate that we are on our 4th choice lb - but Kerkar is wasted there - Jackson at least can play there effectively.
Surprised nobody has mentioned the chances we missed at 1 0 up. Most notably Fuller when we had 4 against 2
I did. That goes in and it's a comfortable win but them's the breaks.
Thought Hudds looked a decent side myself but lacking Rhodes cutting edge. Sending off completly changed the nature of the game and lets not underplay the conditions eithet.
Team now looking a much better prospect than they did at the start of the season. I know it ended up as a draw but in general we passed the ball better, kept more possession and just looked more confident. Frimpong looks good and Fuller is quality - even though his pace is not exactly electric, he keeps he ball and then passes it. All in all I came away quite happy
Pissed off with Jacko for barging into the back of Hulse and throwing him off the header in the last minutes... Hulse would have scored as he was teeing up for it...
Think we cannot carry players anymore captain or not...

all I can say is that you must be easily pleased !!
i thought today was drab, dire & very unforgetable.

Most unlike you Golfie. You're normally such a positive character..
Sorry but green was a total waste of space, no bottle & did not look interested when he came on.
He created the chance at the end for Hulse, hardly a 'total waste of space'.
Super ball, Hulse sticks that anywhere but at the 'keeper, it goes in, we win, and everyone says what a great substitution it was by Powell. Funny old game.

I'm not knocking kerkar or Powell's selection but would just like to know what earns Jacko the left mid position and putting kerkar at left back.
My only thought is Jacko gets Lm due to his knack of getting in the box and scoring goals.
