Promoting one common British culture is pretty oppositional in my opinion.
It's difficult to extrapolate too much from what is effectively a few soundbites.
However my reading is that the preferred option is for all ethnic groups to assimilate into society more than they do. Sociallist councils have historically actively given financial support to multi culturalism which UKIP considers should cease in favour of promoting assimilation as described.
As a libertarian party they certainly do not endorse the authoritarian, proscriptive thought control prevalent amongst so many of of a socialist bent. Thus UKIP would allow multi culturalism to continue but without active financial and other support from government and local authorities.
You (or I) may disagree but it appears intellectually honest which is more than can be said for the LibLabCon!
Being a social worker is an unbelievably horrible job, a family member is often in tears both in frustration and sadness. They are not particularly well-paid and go into it mainly because they want to help. The poxy politicians stitch them up with all types of regulations and diktats and they just cannot win.

Ifthe far right had removed 5 million immigrants from the UK there would have been uproar and riots --but its ok to PLAN and bring 5 million in regardless of the effect on the NHS--- wages---and housing.

The issue is not the principle of immigration but the right of an individual country to control its borders.
This has been in large part ceded to the EU courtesy of the Single European Act.
At the same time we have the Green wing of the socialists prattling on about over population and indigenous pensioners, who've paid taxes and national insurance and fought in the war, being euthanased by stealth via the Liverpool Care Pathway and the like as NHS Trusts receive financial incentives for killing people!
I would sooner curb immigration rather than ruthlessly kill our own as happened to two of my family members so I'm not "making it up" before the usual suspects start!

This will be my only comment in this thread but seems a little harsh but i mainly agree with the decision as we don't need people passing on there bigoted views to the next generation if we are to wipe out racism.
Nothing wrong with being a little concerned by immigration but i will add if you our anti political correctness, you our a racist, as we can all get a little frustrated with PC being heavy handed as it can be on a rare occasion but PC is about treating everyone the same, so anti PC means you do not want people of a different ethnicity/nation/sexuality or the disabled to be treated the same as yourself.

Seems quite reasonable to me. They oppose multi culturalism which the council want in their foster parents. They could always approach other foster organisations that don't take that stance.

I don't think anyone has a problem with immigration, but in 12 years 5 million people migrated to this country. Immigration of that scale and in such short a period has never happened before. It was a massive social experiment that was never going to work. You've now got entire communities where people don't have to even speak the English language for weeks on end. The English language is probably the most defining thing about this country and there are huge amounts of people that can't and won't speak it. It's a basic way of communicating and creating communities. I'm proud of the fact people come here from all over the world want to live and work here, but there is a small percentage of those people that don't want to intergrete with the rest of the country. When you let in 5 million people, that percentage is still a dangerously large amount of people.
This made me see red but it's not new. In the mid eighties we were due to foster a mixed race child, and although everything was in place and the child was looking forward to coming to us, at the last moment there was a change in policy and it was decided the child would be better off with a black family who would understand her cultural needs. Facts were as follows:
1. She was 5 years of age. 2. She was born in the UK. 3. She'd been in care most of her life. 4. She was half white. 5. Last but not least, kids just want to be loved and taken care of, they couldnt care less if you were a Martian with three heads, and unlike lefty councils they don't understand the ins and outs of "Political Correctness"
The blame for this disgrace should be put where it belongs, at the feet of the Labour party who decided to embark on an unprecedented project of social engineering in order to farm votes and damage our native culture out of some misplaced expression of colonial guilt. And yes, we are expected to just sit there and take it - any concern or dissent about the overcrowding of this country (given our finite resources and the pressures on our health and education services), or about our democracy being destroyed by corruption have been ruled unacceptable, as the couple at the centre of this story illustrate.
The problem, as far as they were concerned, was that Britain was 'too British' for their liking ('hideously white' to coin a phrase). That says a lot about the contempt that they hold for the indigenous people of this country which many in the left can only manage to thinly disguise as they talk with disgust of 'little Englanders' and the like - as well as deriding the idiocy of the white working class for not having the foresight to applaud enthusiastically as many of the things that they love about their country and culture are slowly changed beyond recognition in the name of 'progressive thinking'.
It's a good job most English people don't have the same self-loathing that the average leftwinger appears to have. For too long we were told that it was OK to celebrate any culture but our own; we didn't pay any attention then and we don't pay any attention now - most people have given up trying to make themselves into the self hating non-patriots that some think we should be. The working class have been scapegoated, denigrated, condescended to and betrayed by self labelled 'progressives' who are convinced that they knew best for the poor dumb animals. This story is just another example of this.
