Pushed or jumped, I would think that it is only right and proper to publicly acknowledge the past efforts and successes of long serving staff or directors, even if they leave with bad blood. Not to do so suggests a lack of class.
Oh do put a sock in it Airman. I have a lot of respect for what you've done for CAFC but using Charlton Life as your mouthpiece for your personal vendetta against the board is wearing a little thin.
Directors aren't exactly in the same ball park as "ordinary" employees.
Anyway, shouldn't you be pleased she is getting some recognition? Not that that fits in with your agenda, of course.
more significant.
I can't believe you've said this - the workers united and all that.
Wendy's input and many other employees work just as hard as the old Directors and Senior Managers in trying to move the Club forward. Their dedication should be recognised when they decide to depart and it has been done so.
Anyway, thanks Wendy and good luck in whatever you try to do next.
Staff work as hard and generally harder than non-exec directors, who may do very little, but it would be silly to claim that they are/were as influential and therefore as important as Peter Varney, in particular. Or Richard Murray, perhaps. Equally I accept you'd be hard pressed to discover the contribution of, say, Alex Newall.
Comments
Seems like reasonable comments being put forward.
Wendy deserves a thread thanking her without a long and drawn out poit scoring exercise
Afka
Can we not just have 2 threads open all the time for those that wish to post what they have heard both positive and negative
And then let everyone argue it out on there

Its sometimes hard to believe we are all Charlton supporters.
