Today was Wendy Perfect's last day working for the football club after eight and a bit years, but brings to an end 21 years of running coaches for Charlton supporters as a volunteer, as a paid organiser for CASC and latterly as a member of staff.
Wendy is a good friend of mine, so I am biased, but I know the care and attention she has put into that role and the extent to which she worried that everyone got to the match on time and how concerned she was when things did go wrong. She understood why it mattered because she is a fan, her husband is a fan and her son is a fan.
It would be nice to think that our football club will pay tribute to her on the website or in next Saturday's programme, instead of airbrushing her out of the picture in the way they have Peter Varney, Steve Kavanagh and myself. I'm sure that would be Matt Wright's instinct. But Part-time Prothero has never even had the courtesy to introduce himself to her, so don't rely on it.
Still, as her boss for most of those 21 years, I'll say it for him. Thanks, Wendy. You did us all proud.

Thanks Wendy!
Best of luck Wendy.
Surely a mention on the OS or Programme is in order.
Well done and thanks!
Joking aside, it's been a difficult year for Wendy and I'm sure she's looking forward to a better 2013. Let's hope she gets it.
Wish her the very best.
It's been said before, but I genuinely don't know how the club can replace the likes of Airman and Wendy.
I'm glad WP will still be involved with Valley Gold so her skills are not being totally lost to the fans.
None of our business perhaps but I hope both of you find well paid work and soon and it would be good to hear as and when because there is a genuine concern amongst long term followers of the club.
Without people like these the world would be a lot worse than it is now (and I genuinely mean that).
Thank You again Wendy and good luck with the future.
