Motherwell - no idea where it came from as a youngster (maybe the fact that their Panini album silver sticker was so easy to get) but always look out for their results and want to visit Fir Park someday.

I used to go out with a girl from Newarthill (just up the road from Motherwell). Went to Fir Park a few times - its a shithole!

  • Sheffield Wednesday, a lot of transfers between us and them in the 80's and 90's. Also two of my best mates support Wednesday
  • Palace & Millwall,I have old friends who follow them.
  • Wellington Phoenix (NZ's representation in the A League) and FC Nordsjælland of Denmark.
  • Plymouth Argyle, family are from Cornwall and Plymouth, was taken to Home Park many times by older cousins, still go and watch them occasionally when they"re playing near London.
  • Bournemouth _ Family live down there
    Gillingham - local team
  • Plymouth - Been to see us play them a couple of times, nice ground, nice fans and they are situated in one of the best counties in England.

GIllingham - Ok, maybe a bit of a surprising but I really can't understand the dislike on them. Their chairman is a bit of a twat though.

Portsmouth - Their fans are quality

    Norwich
    Carlisle
    Hartlepool

  • Man Utd. Admire their history, their football and their Manager.
  • Burnley - family on mums side live there. Should be interesting when I go up in a couple of weeks...
  • Rangers, Pompey and Luton.
  • Putting my tin hat on for this one but....any London side apart from Palace (who I pretend are north Surrey anyway) regardless of their size, support or attitude, not when any of them play us of course..I must be weird but in my irrational head its how I feel
  • Everton nice club also like moyes is a great boss! Players osman, baines shame cahill left! Brechin city been twice with my uncle whos been fan for years! Hearts coz i like rock band marillion and fish sings about them, and liked skacel! Brighton used to watch them at goldstone when charlton was away!
  • LA Galaxy as their set up amuses me and the missus is from that part of the States and supports them via what she reads about them in Ok /Hello magazine .Bournemouth.
  • Everton
    Toronto FC
    Hearts
  • English team would be Everton, I've just always like the passion of there ground.
In Aus it's the mighty Perth Glory! Was at there very first game back in the old National soccer league 16 years ago and been a big fan since.
Ajax is my European team, just through good mate in Oz who is dutch and I when I've visited him in Amsterdam we've gone to a game.
  • AFC Bournemouth & Boscombe (Family)
    Dulwich Hamlet (Local)
East Stirlingshire (Got fed up with people asking "Rangers or Celtic", so 15 years ago picked the worst team in Scotland. Even flew up to see them play Cowdenbeth ("Blue Brazil"). We lost 2-0.)
  • Merthyr Town(Tydfil) F.C. as i used to live 5 mins from the ground and got my footie fix there when i couldn't make the Charlton Games.

    LOL
  • Rangers

    Hamburg
  • This isn't (and Ihope it doesn't turn into it) me trying to start the old firm row again but why do we have so many people who follow Rangers? Its not a dig before anyone starts I don't really care, just always surprises me how many say they follow them.

Is it just a case of years ago when Scottish football was better standard than League 2 everyone picked a team?
  • Partick - supported them growning up
Juve - my dad supported them growing up
Getafe - sounds amusing when said in a Glasgow accent (my mate and eye have a big Getafe vs Sporting Gijon rivalry)

The Portland Timbers - having swayed between Toronto, Vancouver & Portland as my designated MLS Team, I have plumped for the Timbers...been to see them play, love Portland the city & they have a mascot who slices a chunk off a giant tree trunk every time they score a goal .

I'm now a Portland Timbers fan.

Glasgow Rangers, since the Souness era, took loads of English players up there and turned the club around, adopted them as my Scottish team.

Look out for Arsenal results as my dads family all gooners and my brothers, supported Arsenal as a kid but got out whilst still young.

Others teams I like to see win

    Motherwell
    BOTH Dundee clubs
    Plymouth (Christ knows why)
Gibraltar FC (have a shirt from a visit to the rock a few years back)
  • So many people on here with a liking for Everton. I just don't get it, they've always been a nothing team to me. Is it an anti-Liverpool thing?

On a trip to Ibrox a few years back, we stayed in Motherwell as we had some pals there, one of the locals took me and a mate to the ground on the Friday afternoon, he told the woman in the office we were well supporters up from London, they couldn't do enough for us, took onto the pitch etc, great afternoon

I always look at Everton as a proper football club. Always seems like an old school atmosphere in their typically English stadium. Just come across as a 'real' football team.
