As for your comment about him "being paid" to be fit. Not true, when he wasn't with a club over the Summer, he wasn't getting paid to do anything.

He probablyning did keep himself fit, but there's no substitute for training with a full squad and getting pre season games under your belt.

I don't want to keep going over and over this point .. however, Fuller is a pro footballer and employed or not, one would expect him to keep very fit over the close season ready for when a job came around as it surely would for a good player such as he. Also,he has been with us for a month or so now and I would expect any pro, with a reservoir of fitness to be able to last 90 minutes after a months' hard training. Last and not least, we are a different team when he comes on, but so far his cameos have not been enough to garner any points. We need him on the field tommorow for 90 minutes, or at least he needs to start and get us moving from the first minute instead of what I have seen this year, which is a team which looks disorganised or half asleep from the off.
  • He should be fit enough to start by now
  • Lie down and lolbreathe slowly Lincs until nursey arrives.

  • When I read this thread from the start I see Lincs expressing an opinion, albeit confidently, and Fanny expressing another one. In Lincs defence I am not sure quite why Fanny took offence. But bloody eck there is no need for that sort of falling out is there? Having said that shall I reach for my popcorn?

As to Ricardo, I have no doubt that if SCP thinks it would help us to get a point or points to start him today then he will start. Trust in Him because He sees em all train all week.
  • Thanks for coming to my 'aid' BK !! .. Fanny and I are best of friends really, no problem .. as for the other 2 snipers, I would call them Waldorf \& Astoria .. critics who don't have the brain or courage to formulate constructive opinions .. but today is a day of reconciliation and joy at the coming demise of the tractor boys .. and I won't say a word against anyone ...

If you name yourself after a frog, the odds are that you are as silly as a frog .. croak on

EDIT: Whoops .. what did I just type .. (:->)
  • What is this 'start with Fuller' thing. 1. Beware of building up someone, 'cos if it don't work out they will be knocked down or be made a scapegoat by us (leave that sort of thing to the British press). Starting with Fuller may not be the answer. It appears to me that you could have all our top three strikers on, the problem is the supply of the ball from midfield. The long ball I fear is not the answer though. I think that long-ball style of play got us in trouble in the past.

very true .. BUT a t m we are almost foced into the long ball game as midfield is so 'unproductive' .. I agree we urgently need a good midfielder and I'm sure Powell is exploring many avenues .. and as for being let down .. I'll never criticise Fuller or any other player for lack of success, so long as they put in the required effort.

All this sniping and name calling really devalues this site.Honestly,it is getting so personal and childish it makes me not want to bother posting anymore. Can we not respect everyone's opinion and discuss it in an adult way? There is always going to be differences of opinion and that is good and healthy as is reasoned debate. But sometimes it is like the playground.

Could be worse. Could be ITV!
