Can we please please please not sing

edited September 2012 in General Charlton
The Amarillo song on Friday.

It's old and the Palace fans responded with who the f*ck is laughing now when we got relegated so it's done and dusted now.

Surely we should provide a new song to sing rather than embarrassing ourselves?

  • Don't hold your breath
  • we should sing the palace family, that would be a good replacement
  • just a thought can we be to selective given our huge song choice?

  • Can't sing this, can't call Chris Powell that....following Charlton is starting to become hard work

You're not allowed to say following Charlton is hard work.

You're not allowed to say .

You're not allowed to tell him that he's not allowed to say following Charlton is hard work.................
  • Why as it was a great day and despite what happened to us after we still won that battle as they would love to have had a long stay in the premier like we did but Fortune's wonderful goal ended that and they are still trying to get back there now plus it is just a bit of fun, some people need to relax a little more.
  • Yeah forget about good days like that, days that make me love supporting the club.
  • Let them respond with who the feck is laughing now, it's obvious that we still are.

let's go all the way and bring back Brian Cole for a one off " Palarse" announcement .
let's give it to the Nigel's big time.
    Fuck'em.

So to sum up from recent threads..
Valley Floyd Road - sung at the wrong speed, Red Army not enough words, sha la la la too embarrasing, cant stand for old people, cant sit as it offends yound people, dont mention the addams family or use the words "hate" in regards to Palace or Millwall.....we should shoot the drummer, shoot BDL for trying to jolly up the crowd...

Yet wrap every thing and anything into a monotonous cover of sloop john B and its ok

I for one will be shouting sha la la at the top of my voice, it reflects a moment in time not the current state of events just as Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly or Clive Clive super Clive or Dennis in the last minute do, embarrasing for some or not

Eating a smelly pasty on a packed train with no guilt however that is embarrasing

Tough titty Disco, I intend to embarrass you as loud and a frequently as I can:-)
  • I expect to be singing this song for many, many years to come and will not feel an ounce of shame in doing it.

Nobody in recent memory has had the pleasure of relegating their rivals in a head-to-head match at the end of the season, other than us. Ask a fan of any other club if they would like to have that experience, and they would bite your hand off.
