Prices are a joke and a rip off, no wonder the ground always looks half empty Still got 2 though as it's as close for me has a home game. Done Birmingham, Forest and now Ipswich, another six at this rate and we would have spent the same as i have on our two season tickets (North Upper 1 adult, 1 under 18) for the Valley on tickets alone. But having said that it's better going to the bigger clubs with bigger crowds then League 1 so guess i will keeping having to dig deep But Ipswich are taking the P***
I'm going, but I suspect there will be plenty of tickets left over, it seems that Ipswich have classified the game in the top price bracket. Probably drive and make a weekend of it, seems a bit ridiculous I can get a hotel (with breakfast) for £49, which is barely more than the ticket price...
I was well up for this until I saw the prices a while ago. Completely unscientific glance at the attendances at the weekend gave me the impression they are generally down everywhere.
Tickets for the trip to Portman Road on Saturday, September 22nd (3pm) are now on general sale and available online.
Places are priced £34 adults, £24 over 60s, U20s and students (with an NUS card) and £12.50 U16s.
Family tickets are priced £29 adults, £20 over 60s and U20s, and £9 U16s, but can only be purchased to a maximum of two adults per U18. Further, more expensive, tickets will go on sale if required, and Charlton have up to 2,052 places.
They charge high prices, because the away area is limited & they presume we will sell out, even at £34.
to be fair we need to get used to an increase in ticket prices, its going to happen in a higher division and even worse if we ever got promoted, I remember paying £48 for a Chelsea ticket one year
Seriously, the price is not an issue, I'll be buying an under 16 even though I'm clearly not under 16, and I will get in no problem, as I did at Birmingham and Forest.
i want to book online, so as to get an U16, it says they should be available to purchase online from yesterday. But when logging in, the game isnt up there? anyone else having this problem?
Even as I typed my above post, the tickets were on the mat. Given the excitement caused by the size of the Forest tickets, I have to say they are disappointingly small. For £34 I expected cat-size as a minimum. These are hardly bigger than a mouse (including tail).
The u-18 tickets still have 'adult' written on them. From this i can conclude that I am obviously a mug to pay full price and that Ipswich are not that bright or don't care how much money they make.

Yes, they are a bit small, probably in line with the legroom :-(
