  • South London derbies are what it's all about and to have the Nigel's and Spanners in the same league don't come along often!

For various reasons I am going to have to pick and choose carefully which matches I attend both home and away this season.

I genuinely cannot be bothered with either of the Palace games... it's so tedious now. OK they understandably after what happened hate us a bit now.. But it's still pretty one-sided and I just find it embarrassing... yes I know it's a minority view, but I don't hate them (of course I hated Noades at the time all those years ago). I just don't care.

On the other hand, the two matches against the scum... There is NO WAY I can miss them... especially away.. never been so humiliated at football in my life watching that shower roll over 0-4 to the delight of those neanderthal inbreds. Payback is definitely due... BRING IT ON.

Palace pretending they don't hate us and us pretending we don't hate them - lay it off- we do hate them and they hate us just as much, but will never admit it.

  • Pitty Millwall, hate Palace.
  • Whilst we still have a massive dislike for Millwall - I do feel over the years that a lot of the hate we had for them has passed to Palace.
  • On a scale of 1 - 10 I want to beat Palace 10
    On a scale of 1 - 10 I want to beat Millwall 100000000

That snowy night at the new den was ten times better than sending palace down in my opinion.

    yes indeed it was

Sorry, but ever since the first Charlton v Palace game I went to (league cup 1st leg at Selhurst - around '92?) that simply is not true in my experience. It has always been mostly bemusement from their fans - I'd go so far to say we look(ed) absolutely pathetic with our obsession. I know some on here will say 'don't care if they hate us, I hate them anyway', in which case fair play (tho I find it odd) - I just don't think it's a proper rivalry (at least it never was).

Having said all this, it's taken years, but it probably *is* true that many of them hate us now, mind after the 2-2, Jordan/Murray/Dowie, Sydenham etc etc. I would if I was them!!
  • Stripey Nigel scum are different their are an annoying nothing but it's about the football result to me I don't know any Stripey scum

Millwall is rivalry it's more than football it's more bragging rights than anything
  • Pathetic. I wonder if they all chipped in their pocket money to buy the scarf.
  • thats simply embarrasing for all involved.

  • Every palace fan seems to have a unhealthy fixation with charlton, but that matters not its all things millwall i hate

You may recall that a load of them chipped in their pocket money (nearly £1,000) to arrange for a plane to fly over The Valley displaying some form of insulting message during the last game of the season the year we went down. That's how little they care. Unfortunately the CAA wouldn't let them do it (I think due to the proximity of London City Airport).

Yes - I do remember this! They lost the £1,000 as well as they didn't get the airspace, after they had paid for the plane.
  • I'm convinced they're going down this season, and they're home to Peterborough on the last day of the season - just in case someone wants to start checking Airspace restrictions in the Croydon area.
  • Palace I'd love to beat but I'd let them take 6 points off us if we could take 4 points off the scum

    On a scale of 1 - 10 I want to beat Palace 10
    On a scale of 1 - 10 I want to beat Millwall 100000000

    And this

  • Millwall are Spanners because they come from what looks like a toolbox ie The New Den.

I wish it was this Saturday, a Friday night game will just add to the atmosphere though. Hope we murder them, not just a 1-0, a real thrashing.

Just booked tickets and hotel for me and the missus. Really excited. I can now bore her rigid with the history of the rivalry between the two teams for the next three weeks!
  • Absolutely gutted I am missing this game as I am having it Large in Majorca. Which means making sure I go to S******* P***.
  • Can't wait for this one - then on the lash in Bexleyheath and meeting up with a couple of old mates and staying over

Reckon this will be a sell out?

Definitely not, much as it pains me to say it, the feathered ones almost always sell-out(unlike us)

Us sending them down comes after Leeds play-off and Sunderland final
  • Millwall in the snow was a legendary night.

However, having the privilege of relegating your rivals in an end of season match is something that we should cherish. Every football club's fanbase in the World would give a lot to be able to say they've done that.

    Absolutely spot on

    Yep
  • Next to winning at Wembley the snowy night at the toolbox was my favourite supporting moment. I wasn't there for the 4 - 0 but I will be there this time and it will be the biggest game of the season for me.
