When we beat them 1-0 in our relegation season we hadn't won in 15 + games and they were doing O.k in mid table, roles could be reversed this time round. However thats unlikely as they are shite.
we are not as concieted as clubs like Arsenal we are not The Charlton
Phew thought it was just me. While we're at the other lot should never be called 'Wall either IMH.
Sad I know.
Me too.
I also find it really cringey calling Palace "Palarse" (although not a sackable offence). It's the sort of thing a five year old would come up with in the playground.

What are your thoughts on: MillSmall, SmallWall and Nil-Wall ?

Pretty similar, although "nil-small" is a bit more conceptual as it also sounds like their score so would take at least an eleven year old to come up with that !!

Unlike Millwall games, when was the last time there was more than a one goal margin in games between us, and how often? Very rare indeed, and I suspect it may be the same...three juicy points will do me.
We beat them 2-0 at home, which was also on a Friday night, about 3-4 years ago.

Prior to that though, you have to go back to 1994 at their place for a 2 goal margin.

Yep, you're right...unusual scoreline though.
I also remember the cringing embarassment I felt walking up Floyd road after that game, a line of police down the middle dividing the fans, as some of our fans abused the departing Crystal Palace fans, gesturing and hissing 'scum' and the like, all very cowardly in the darkness shielded by the police line. The Crystal Palace fans were in the main innocent groups, including kids and families and the like simply trying to get away and get home, gracious we were not! I am a bit biased because I know and have worked with a lot of Crystal Palace fans in recent years, and those I know are really decent good people not unlike our own support. I felt ashamed during that walk up to the station. I suspect there are some sneering Charlton fans reading my post, thinking 'what a pussy' because they think Crystal Palace fans all deserve it for having the temerity to support their local team. I think Crystal Palace as a club are generally pointless, but leave their fans alone unless they do something directly to you huh? Give it large in the Valley, during the game, show them what class support is really like, but I hope we let them come and go in peace. Banter my arse.

Seth, I think the bits I have highlighted answer your question/statement. Everyone's got 'em!

Not to excuse it by any means but do you think they would refrain if they were to beat us at The Valley? Of course not. It's all part of going to Football these days, very little is going to change.

Fair enough Seth but as I walked up Floyd road I saw one MAN dressed as a clown with the rest of his hilarious group 'having a go' if you will at the charlton fans.

sure they thought the same when they attacked families and kids on the train
Crystal Palace are literally pointless at the moment, but I presume they'll get a win or draw before we play them!
But I agree there's no place for the obnoxiousness that tends to colour these occasions, most football fans are much the same as each other, all clubs have a small minority of thugs/mouthy idiots, and small number of anoraks...I've known many Palace fans down the years, indeed fans of most clubs.
I'm not sure the regular SE Trains commuters will enjoy their journey home from work on Friday though, adding 5-10000 football supporters, many loud and pissed up, to packed commuter trains will be interesting...

I know a couple of decent people who support Palace - I give them as much friendly stick as I can but I agree - there is no place for nastinesss.
