  • I sing it because it's a catchy song to put a player off that alot of people joined in on, obviously your not going to stop until you get the last word so that's me done here

How about I have the last word............."game set and match to Henry".

Nah I'll have the last word... I've been too quiet recently...

Henry raises the trophy, i've been Bobby Dazzler and it's back to the studio.

  • i booed him cause he went to palace, he was actually one of my favourite players when he played for us. im sure hes a nice guy and i secretly wish him luck but football is football i suppose
  • I doubt if he laid awake thinking about it.
  • Just remember his best mate is Darren Bent. Do you think Bent would be pleased about how we treated him (Darren Bent still has great affection for us btw) on Saturday? If you condone homophobic chanting you're a moron and I'm glad your ignorant kind is dying out.
  • Booing is not going to upset anyone but obscene chanting is another matter. There are actually signs around the Valley warning against the use of racist language but I've never seen it enforced.
  • Its "catchy" well that's OK then.

The lisbie song has the same "catchy" tune so that must be OK too.

    Very sad.

Gary Glitter wrote some catchy ditties, guess some people can adapt them to further amplify their crassness.
  • Rightly or wrongly it has always happened and always will in a football crowd. Le Saux got it for years. And alot worse than what you heard Sat.
I didn't join in as I didn't even hear it (we were far left of our end) but it seriously would not have offended me. It's a cheap shot imo - end of.

Ambrose probably didn't even hear it and prob would not give a shit what a load of fans of an ex club are singing about him.

Ironically one of my best mates is gay and him and his partner are two of the most homophobic people I know. Thier level of hatred for your stereotypical camp gay is something else.

Think it comes down to your sense of humour at the end of the day. I can laugh at more or less anything and i know people singing it won't actually be gay 'haters' - most just see it as a funny football song.

A bit like "we can see you holding hands' at Brighton. Purely a 'funny' dig - no more, no less.

A bit like the 'northern bastard' song - it does not mean i think all northeners are wife beaters or bastards and incredibly i don't hate all northerners either.
  • Why not? All 5k of us would have filled the old Den. And it would have saved on the bus fare.

With you feltham - never understood it, NewCross from Bexley - easy - Selhurst ?? never did it
