people feeling sorry for others on their behalf again.
What a pathetic statement. Just because someone is offended at the abuse a fellow human being is receiving, that somehow makes it 'wrong'? History is littered with prejudice - outward and public displays of those prejudices have generally not been altered through the actions of those suffering from them, but from the 'majority' who (sometimes gradually, sometimes pretty rapidly) realised the reprehensibility of the actions of the few fuckheads concerned and made them realise their behaviour was unacceptable. It's not 'feeling sorry for others' - it's 'thinking the people abusing them are c**ts'. There's a difference.
Lots of sweeping generalisations have been made in comparing football to the olympics. Id imagine that a large majority football fans are not racist/homophobic prejudiced people in this country. It's always going to be an odd comparison too as the crowds at football are hugely partisan whereas the makeup of Olympic crowds were probably largely day trippers.
Find the olympic comparison that has been held up as pure and the complete antithesis of the "posionus" game of football a bit flaky. There were enough drug cheats, protesting losers and not always humble competitors from the recent games to show that it isn't really genuine to hold the Olympics up as a mirror to the beautiful game.
A read of Lords of the Rings, about the IOC during Samaranch's reign and before makes the rogues at FIFA look like vicars by comparison.
Nothing wrong with Booing him for the crime of playing better for Palarse then us but anybody using homophobic remarks in 2012 need to have a look at themselves, as your letting the club down and the human race.
Even worse if the people singing it no he is not gay as shows there belief that being gay is an insult.

There was some utterly vile turd last night, wanking himself off on Twitter over abusing Ambrose's wife and child, and telling everyone how great it was, that she was reduced to tears.
Some younger supporters really need a shoeing at some point this season
