I hope my boy gets the A-level grades he needs. Will then really enjoy the sometimes dodgy away games at Bristol City and Cardiff (OK so Cardiff is away on a Tuesday still going though). Whatever our league position by then we will comfortably sell out Brighton away. A looooooog schlepp up to 'Boro doesn't appeal on my birthday though.
A difficult opener despite the fact that Brum will have a new manager and probably will have lost a few players during the close season. It'll be a good benchmark of possibilities for the new season and a test to see how many of last years' successful side are ok for the more rigorous championship and how well any new (if any) players have settled in. I'm looking forward to it .. I'll be there.
a lot of rubbish fixtures, peterborough, cardiff, leeds and derby all away on tuesday nights. Shame as I wanted to do them all.
it is a big pity that all these games are to be played on Tuesdays. It seems that all in all, and understandably given the amounts of money involved, that the fixtures are calculated more for the benefit of TV rather than for travelling supporters.
To be fair isn't Peterborough something like 45 minutes on the train from Kings Cross?? You could have longer journeys going to Southend or Colchester.
In fairness Birmingham away is probably one of the most disappointing in England. St Andrews is fairly central to the second biggest cities in the country but it's all very grim, never seem to find a decent boozer when I'm there either. Can be a bit rough as well.
Yes tough opening few games, but i'd rather pit ourselves against the good teams at the start thus allowing CP time to move in the transfer market should he feel the need to.
I reckon we will start the season off well. The squad, especially the new players, will be up for it after a few cp inspired team talks ... Starting with a solid draw against Birmingham
As mentioned already, quite tough opening 8 games and a tough end to the season as well. I hope we are not involved at the wrong end of the table come March. In fact the whole thing looks tough now. I'm scared!!
Scared? Come end of the transfer window we should be as good as most teams in this league. Powell will get them working together well straight away, like last season, and the wins will come.
No complaints about the fixtures really. I just can't wait until the new season starts and we batter Palarse on September the 15th. Also I think the first month is quite tough but if we get through that then we will be confident and should be fine.
Also the exam went really well and I think I'll get an A-B, I've only got 1 more exam left then I'm free until 6th form starts. Also cheers to those who wished me good luck.

Birmingham away train booked up ! £12 per adult return at the moment, trying to decide between Forrest and Ipswich away in September.
Great, I have to wait a whole season for my closest game

Yep, Peterborough isnt far at all.
It's obvious SCP will need to sign at least a handful of decent Champs quality players, as we've barely got 18 senior pros for a matchday squad.
And of course we need to see how the first 5-10 games go.

And yes obviously things will change and my percentages will be adjusted accordingly ....
They're usually a good indication of where we're at, so I will keep you updated as things progress throughout the season :-)
