I've just seen the news about his wife. That's heartbreaking. I can't begin to imagine. I hope he has time to mourn and grieve and take care of himself now. I always really liked him as a player, and it always sounded like he was a really nice bloke. Go take care of yourself Jose.
seems like an incredibly loyal human being - felt big affection for us, then sheffield wednesday and now vitoria. What an awful tragedy to have to go through. I couldn't imagine the pain.
I actually once gave Jose a lift home when he lived in Lodge Moor Sheffield, I rang a mate of mine up and said Jose wanted to talk to him Jose agreed and my mate thought it was all a wind up - top bloke loved it up here, spoke well of Charlton too, tragic what happened to him and I'm sure it will take time.
Think we all know he was a decent person and he was looking forward to his new chapter in Portugal 😞
Boozed up (me not him) bumped in to him leaving The Valley and i serenaded him with “Sem eeee doooo woooooah , Sem eee dooooo woooooah , he comes from Portugal he fucking hates millwall and he joined in in a terminator style voice with “I fucking hate millwall” …. Good lad
