Do we know that it was the Liverpool fans making the noise? You can see all the English players for Chelsea signing the national anthem , whereas Gerrard , Spearing and Co. are not. Might just be me but I think all English players should sign up for the anthem.

I've never liked the national anthem. 'God save the queen' - two institutions I've got no time for in the opening line. 'I vow to thee my country' would be my choice.
I think leroy ambrose has got a point, no different to when the England fans turn up and boo other countries national anthem, the other statement about living in the past we as a nation do it with the world cup in 66, surely we should stop singing songs about that win?
Met a Scouser in a bar out here the other week. He said that he was from Liverpool and NOT England, he said that he loves to see the national side get trounced, he also said he hates seeing Liverpool players in an England top. He was pissed, but he insisted he was not on a wind-up...... The conversation obviously took a bit of a turn for the worst after that and we went our seperate ways!
Never really had an opinion on Liverpool as a place, as a team or the people before that conversation and then what happened on Saturday, I do now though, I don't really like them....
I like the National Anthem as it is, but I am a Royalist.
I don't see how Liverpool come out of this much worse than Chelsea. I accept that Chelsea's English players were singing and Liverpool's weren't, but the noise being made in the stadium could have come just as much from Chelsea's fans as Liverpool's.
