  • Pretty sure Ricardo fuller was on trial back in curbs times, too injury prone apparently

he was indded, but they daid he had a limp or somthing and wasnt up to think he went to palarse also.

  • I saw Ricardo Fuller play for the reserves around 1999. I believe that he refused a longer contract (2 years?) as he wanted a shorter (1 year?) deal.
This was a ridiculous thing for him to ask as we would have had to pay Tivoli gardens £1M for him. Also, if you're injury prone, there's a big advantage for you in signing a longer term deal.
Probably badly advised by his agent.
  • Think efan ekoku also trialed with us.
  • Back injury with Fuller wasn't it?
  • didnt we have some norweign striker or icelandic striker on trail recently big tall fella?
  • Fuller had a serious back problem which we paid to sort out I believe.

He then went back to Jamaica for a couple of years.
  • Julian Gray
  • Gregor Raziak, scoring against Carshalton pre-season...

  • Stuart parnaby, Alexie Michaelichenko.
  • Bolanos was quality. He would have been great if we had got the work permit.
  • Sam Williams (now at Dagenham injured)
Elisaj (Dutch winger who was with the massives)
  • Antti Niemi
  • Make XI's up!
  • we had messi on trail but was sent home to argentina after complaints from the 14 addicks at the erith and belvedere friendly that he was to small..
  • Antti Niemi
    "He's no finished, he's only 28!!!!"
  • I remember we had a player on trial called "Carlos Revez"
  • What about the Japanese player that we couldn't get a work permit for - can't remember his name though

  • crazy that we didnt follow the ian harte one up
  • Alex!!
i remember reading that we had signed a brazilian on ceefax and was really excited as that was back in the day when even european footballers were exotic to us.
  • Ian Harte and tommy smith should've signed. Never knew we had Freddy Eastwood on trial, was that when he chose to go to wolves instead and we signed McLeod?

How about the German defender in the summer? He looked good.
  • Think Eastwood was when we were in the Prem and he was still at Grays.

Has done very little in the last few years, his record above League 1 is poor.

  • Sam Williams was a strange trial signing. He'd not even scored many for Yeovil.
  • Ian Harte would have been an incredible signing, amazed we didn't follow that up.

Probably the best taker of free kicks and corners in the entire Football League (yes, including Jackson and Kermorgant).

Saw Bolanos play in the pre season friendly at The Valley that time and he looked really exciting.
  • As I recall Bolanos was refused a work permit. He is now playing for my local club FC Copenhagen.
