Ephraim (proven at this level) Osborne (Decent player across the back four and quick for a CB) Jackson from Norwich tho he is getting the odd prem game, may be too big a step down? Some experience in the middle, not sure who
Adomah George Boyd Danny Collins ( Stoke ) Raheem Sterling ( On loan from Liverpool ) Nicky Bailey ( return from Boro ) Scott Carson ( return from Turkey )
If we were to take a Portsmouth player, I'd rather take Dave Kitson, as it wasn't that long ago when he was scoring in the PL and talked of as an England player
If we are talking Charlton old boys then it's a yes to Bailey and Shelvey and a massive yes to Carson and a big No to Varney, poor mans Garry Nelson and I loved Nelse

Dave Kitson is a good call, also feel Kevin Phillips would do us a good job as well. Ebanks - Blake at Wolves, Jamie Mackie from QPR Chris Wood from WBA - always scores at loan clubs wherever he has been Simeon Jackson from Norwich Also in defence Kyle Bartley on loan from Arsenal ( currently at Rangers )
We will be buying top end Championship players or lower end Prem players, the overriding criteria will be hungry players IMO.
Very well put.
I'd think it will be the same as last year i.e. Signing players who have potential to make the step up is the key (wiggins, hamer, stephens, hollands etc) or players that have something to prove (Kermo, Green, Haynes).
I'd want to wait until after the play offs to see who might be available ,last year SCP did a great job in signing Danny Hollands a few days after Bournemouth bailed out to Huddersfield for example I'd love to see Gleeson but he may choose to stay at MKD if they get promoted .
Looking at the relegated clubs I've always liked Gary McSheffrey ,but he may be a bit too old and injury prone now.
Life long Charlton fan, 1st time poster. Really hope there is some money behind the club at the moment and a suitable investment is made. Really thing 5 or 6 signings would make a massive impact on team which is already on the up. Personally i think we need a GK, RB, RM,LM and ST. As long as we don’t end up signing some washed-up over paid ex-prem players I will be happy. In Chris Powell we trust. PS. Anyone think Lloyd Dyer would be a good shout, very pacey and very direct.

1. Ledesma thought he looked really decent against us 2. Scott Carson would be quality signing, he might want to come back to play at champ level 3. Rhodes, although i have no idea whether we could afford him 4. N'Guessan (if we can't get Rhodes) he would be a great partnership with Kermorgant 5. Wordsworth
I’d be looking for young players from the top 5-6 clubs in the Premier who haven’t quite made it but feel that they have something to prove. Together with square pegs in round holes or vice versa in Premiership or good Championship sides – if they are prepared to accept a cut in wages in order to play and make their point all the better. Any connections with the area or SCP would be a bonus. I’m not sure that signing top League 1 players is necessarily a good thing – they may think they have made it straightaway by being signed into a Championship side, and I’m not sure that the reaction from the current players would be that positive. Big name has beens or old players no thanks – they have had their chance and they didn’t take it, retreads hardly ever do anything after the initial burst of enthusiasm.
