shit is a little harsh, if Green can improve his defending (which is terrible, granted) and his tackling in general (which is also awful) then he could be a good champ player! The same goes for Wagstaff though, if he can improve his crossing...
Yann deffo has more than 2 assists.............1 last sat & I know of at least one more off the top of my head - away at Wycombe (overhead kick which hit the post & BWP tapped in) - reckon he must be on about 6 or 7
It's true about Yann assisting the assister. For example the reverse pass against Chesterfield putting Waggy through to cross for BWP or the unbelievable flick on for Wiggy to square for Russell against Yeovil. Yann tends to put the player in a position where all he has to do is put the ball across as the hard work in creating the space has been done. Good to see what Green and BWP bring to the team in cold hard facts. There's no team that wins the league as comfortably as we have with players as bad as some people like to make out
Accurate assists stats are difficult. Those of you that read the STATBANK will know that the official stats for assists are wrong. I have tried to compile the assists as accurately as possible, including the Wycombe stats the assists are: Wright Phillips 10 Wiggins 8 Green 7 Hollands 6 Jackson 6 Kermorgant 5 Stephens 5 Hayes 5 (added by edit) Wagstaff 4 Morrison 2 Taylor 2 Solly 1 Pritchard 1 Cook 1 Haynes 1 Ephraim1
Assists stats are little more than meaningless in football. You get an assist if it bounces off your arse into BWP's path who slots home. Likewise you get no stats if you've put Leaburn clean through with 40 yards passes to feet 5 times in the game.

That's why CL stats are best as they are practical & commen sense.

I know opts do a lot of "goalscoring opportunities stats" which are arguably even more valuable. I still think they are important over a season. Wiggins created 7 more goals than solly for example. Shows wiggins has a great cross, but doesn't mean solly isn't a great player.
Stats are for people that don't go to the games. Apart from stats like player ratings which are aggregated from people that were there haha.
Nice backtrack!
Haha thanks!!!! I realise how much I appreciate the player ratings from people. Assists just look at the person who touched the ball before someone scored (or the person who put in the world's greatest cross) and goals just look at who was lucky enough to tap it into the net (or the person that ran past 8 players to score a goal worthy of one of the world's greats)
Player ratings by people who were there reflect what's what.

that was green
Afraid it wasn't Green and my eyes didn't deceive me on the night as confirmed by this extract from the match report on the OS:
Wright-Phillips, meanwhile, is up to 10 goals for the season having produced two clinical finishes at the beginning and end of the opening period.
First he followed up to turn home the loose ball after a spectacular Yann Kermorgant overhead kick came back off the post with just five minutes on the clock.
Golfie, I don't think the overhead kick from Yann that hit the post would warrant as an assist as it wasn't a pass. They are usually only given for a direct pass to the goal scorer.
I wouldn't write Green off but without an improvement he will struggle in the Champ. Can't see him getting more space either, unless a lot more teams attack us. But then I'd prefer Wagstaff's pace, energy and movement on the counter if that happened.

Green has a higher average mark from Charlton fans than Dale Stephens - so Stephens must be utter utter shit on that basis.
