I am amzed no one has sayed about having this bloke back! his work ethic was outstanding and scoring abilty was unreal. I know he is not in the Championship but if only he would come out of retirement! he is charlton through and through
Saw him in a restaurant the other day - very odd shaped rear end.
Surprised no one has mentioned Richardson. I know we are blessed with a very good replacement but FR was good for us and looks like he could get promoted again.

Crossed my mind too. Not sure how often his injuries recur but always did well for us and unlikely to make much impression if they go up.
Other than that, wouldn't mind Varney who despite panicing in front of goal, always gave his all, and whose pace could prob do a job on the left / up front on occasion. Realistically though, I think we'll be looking for players with no "baggage" from the misery years; players who are on the up when we buy them, eg. Wiggins, Stephens, Green etc. The calibre of signings in the (hopefully early) close-season will give us a better idea of what to expect next season.

Richardson would not come back here to be second choice, can't see Powell signing a RB who will hinder Solly's development. More likely to sign a player who can fill in at RB if needed and if Solly gets injured, rely on a loan (similarly to LM this season).
Of all the ex Charlton players in the Championship, the only one I think would improve our squad is Hudson, he has been excellent for Cardiff since he left us and imho would work well with Morrison. However, due to his past experience here, can't see him wanting to return even if we made an offer.
Halford has apparently been the shining light in a grim season for Pompey. We forgot him here, but we could do worse as back up / competition in the right back slot which we all know we need.

Simon Francis mark 2.....................No thanks!
What? Solly is miles better than Richardson. Whenever I saw hm play, he always passed to the opposition. Funny how we all see football differently. Reid was class when kept away from the Pie shops, and Bailey would still get into our midfield (er team i mean!)
Doubt we'll see any of our old boys back. I should think that the scouts are already on the look-out for new signings now that we're confirmed as going up - I doubt their remit is "have a look at this list of people that used to play for us and see if you think we should have them back"!
Any recent ex-players were here when the club was failing - they probably wouldn't relish the prospect of coming back and we should be wary of the atmosphere they might (inadvertently) bring to the changing room.
I'd definitely take Bailey back instead of Stevens, and Iwelemu would be excellent cover for YK (though not sure how old he is now). Losing Josh Wright was a mistake too. Hudson has proved his worth since leaving us. Konchesky is still an excellent player at Championship level not sure how he'd fit in the team though.
On a theoretical level, Richardson gets forward more like Wiggins, and has the experience, but obviously he's on his way to the Prem and we have a great right back, so it'd never be a practical deal.

Josh Wright will come good ? ;0)

Maybe Frazier then.

Reid and Wright could do a job.
Can play Right back, Centre back, Right midfield and upfront.
Versatility is needed big time next year.
