I mentioned the generosity of the members of Charlton Life and Bromley Addicks regarding this auction of Michael Morrison's shirt at last night's Quiz Night at The Valley which I hosted, in aid of the Charlton Upbeats. After discussing it with Carl and Barry, the Trust Officers responsible for the Charlton Upbeats, the money that you guys are raising will go towards the costs involved with taking the Upbeats to play in a Down's Syndrome football tournament being hosted by West Bromich Albion.
We had a great night last night at the Quiz and Lee Simons deserves so much credit for the hard work that she puts in to making these evenings so successful. When we finally count up all the proceeeds we expect to have raised somewhere in the region of £6,000, which is fantastic.
Your continuing support of the Charlton Upbeats is much appreciated by everyone involved; many thanks guys.
Soundas - I think you have missed the fact that ESM is joking when he says it is a joke, hence the smiley thing... I imagine he is chuffed that his donation is raising over £300 - but would no doubt also love it to be more for such a good cause!
Expected this to hit the £150-£200 mark but no more. A fantastic souvenir to a fantastic season. Well done to the more affluent supporters here..... :-D

Ah right....I don't use those smiley thingy's....so maybe you can see why I was a little confused re his post........as you were eam.......who knows, maybe your tactic will crank the price up a bit.

It was a joke Soundas, as Weegie says I am over the moon with amount raised so far, would love to see it go higher but if it stays where it is the donation would have surpassed all of my expectations.
Too be honest , its more about making a donation to a worthy cause , obviously the shirt isn't in my eyes worth that money , but it is a bonus if you like for donating something to a charity , ie if you donated £300 to your favourite charity , and got a signed Michael Morrison shirt , i think you'd be happy , i can see this bid going higher to £500 .... but not from me i'm afraid , good luck to the winner, and the Charlton upbeats a great cause , everyones a winner!
Congrats Coulsdon. You certainly wanted it. Someone will be in touch about the best way to pay but I think its going to be a cheque if you have a cheque book?
