  • I'm so chuffed about this. Thank you @eaststandmike for donating your shirt. We have already given 200 quid to the upbeats from our left over cash. This is going to make it even better.

    So flipping pleased.
No problem Bren, I had no idea it would do so well so i am chuffed as well, lets hope it gets even higher before the close of the auction.
  • £200
  • @telfox I hope you can take lots of pics and videos of the West brom tournament.
  • I can't top these bids but Henry when I settle up with you I will put something in the kitty for this good cause. Is it a charity as such?
  • Bryan, yep. Absolutely fantastic charity as well. Me and Curb_it went to a fundraiser a bit back and you couldn't help but be impressed with everything they do.

  • Actually, rather than a standalone charity, I think they're an arm of the trust.
  • Never really taken much notice of it before. Shame on me! Worth reading that link.

Out of my league now but well done to all who've bid and Eaststand Mike of course for the donation of the shirt.
  • We (CL and BA) have raised a lot of money from the other auctions so if it ok with others we will match whatever the top bid is so the Upbeats get double.

    Thanks Bryan and Gray9

    Bid is £200
  • I would like to bid £210.00

  • Excellent, well done Ben.
  • I just mentioned to Steve Sutherland about how well the auction is going (thanks Coulsdon) and he told me that Martin Simon's wife, Lee, has organised another fundraising quiz at the Valley for Sunday night. They get tremendous support as there are already 220 tickets sold but are a few left if any of you quiz masters fancied it.

  • no problem curb_it it's for a worth while cause and I have been after a signed shirt for a while, chalked up my 75th league ground with Charlton at Carlisle!
  • Impressive CS, think Preston will make it about 65 if you count teams who dropped out the league like Lincoln and Cambridge.

Auction ends next Tuesday so still plenty of time to bid.

I would go but no one else on here like general knowledge quizzes.

Also Steve Sutherland refuses to take on me and Shirty5 in the Bromley quiz so I'm boycotting his quiz : - )
  • thank you Henry, I must admit that does also actually include like yourself some sides like Grimbsy etc which have now dropped out of the league.

    CHEAT : - )

For another thread maybe but the 92 club have a (silly IMHO) rule that if a club leaves the league then returns members have to revisit the same ground to be able to say they have done the 92.

Then again my brother argues that if he's been to any ground that a club has played at then he counts it so he counts Derby as he's been to the baseball ground but not Pride Park #Howmanyangelsonapinhead
  • I'll go £220. Love Morro and The Upbeats. Went to school with Carl Krauhaus.
  • 'Also Steve Sutherland refuses to take on me and Shirty5 in the Bromley quiz so I'm boycotting his quiz : - )'

As I keep telling you Ben, as a 'Fifteen to One' show winner, I'm not allowed to enter amateur quizes!
  • Excuses, excuses.

Get yourself and PDV down to Bromley next Weds and shows us what you've got!!

  • Cheers Mr Shouting 220 quid
  • £230.00, may be about 65 league grounds!
  • Great effort, lads! And still a few days to go...
  • 240 and only one ground really counts
  • coulsdon south is one of my best charlton pals.hope he gets this.
  • £300
  • Flipping Ada.

Carry on lads. But don't be doing any editing and backtracking when sobered up in the morning.
  • I'm regretting my offer to match the top bid now!
