So after three years there are just three games left. Only three more times will we play in what used to be called division three.
With the One Aim of promotion achieved it would be tempting to suggest that we are due a "traditional" Charlton end of season slump but this side is made of sterner stuff and there is still the small matter of the league title.
If we better Sheffield Utd's result at MK Dons The Addicks will take the Championship of the third tier for the third and (because I hope we never again sink to this level) last time.
Standing in the way are a Wycombe side still desperately clinging onto their hard won League 1 place. They currently sit in 21st, three (there is that number again) points behind Orient and safety.
With games v Notts County and Sheffield Massives to come it does not look good for them but they can not mathematically be relegated on Saturday. For a while it seemed they might escape but too many draws and the loss of Paul Hayes seem to have all but ended what was a realistic chance of survival only a month ago.
Goal scoring has not been a problem for them. If you count cup goals Stuart Beavon has outscored BWP this season. It is at the other end where the Chairboys struggle. They have the worst defensive record in the division, something that was proved when they decided that Gary Doherty was the player to help them reduce the current average of more than 2 goals conceded per away match.
The unkind might joke that Charlton should have insisted that the Doc play in this game but we at Preview Towers would never be so cruel.
The Charlton team seems likely to be substantially the same as in recent weeks. Green may return from illness but he may struggle to dislodge Haynes or N'Gussen/Wagstaff from the bench. Any changes made are more likely to be a few bench warmers swapping place with starters.
The Gaffer may be tempted to rest some tired limbs and give some the academy boys a run out at some time but maybe not until the tin pot has been secured.
It has been raining all week. On a slick and fast pitch Charlton's pace and power will be too much for the Wanderers and will shall witness a drubbing. 5 or maybe even 6 - 1 to the Champions elect.

hoping the boys will go out with the mindset that they are now responsible for not only winning this division but also securing CP the Manager of the Season award.
Would love to go out with a bang: 6-1
Sheff Utd and MK Dons will draw. We tie it up..
Oh sod it, my superstition has worked all year. Should I stop now?
2-0 Wycombe, Sheff Utd win 8-0 at MK Dons, 10 point deduction after the game for Charlton for accidentally fielding 12 players as Doc sneaks on the pitch after 85 minutes.
I'd like to see Evina given a game and one or two of the academy players get into the squad and perhaps sit on the bench and if things go well get a few minutes at the end.
Can we beat it?
I do feel that we will play with a lot more freedom but Wycombe are playing for their lives. I see it being tighter than most have predicted so 2-1 to us. And Blades to win so have to wait another week...
3-1 win
Bwp, Kerm, waggy
CHAMPIONS!
My gut feeling is a boring 0-0 or unlucky defeat, but that's not based on this season, that's based on the rest of my Charlton-supporting life.
So in SCP I trust... 9-0
