Orient, Preston, Sheff Utd, Wycome, Scunthorpe, Chesterfield, Charlton, Notts County are all way off.
The only excusable one in that list is Preston, who I think we all thought would do better.
I know if everyone on here came up with a prediction before the season there would no doubt be some big differences from the end result, however to have us finish 3 places above relegation to League 2 is embarrasing.
I heard somewhere that when they published this online a week or two later, they had revised it and had us for a much higher finish (probably on the back of the many signings we made).
Its all well and good slating them now. Fact is we finished 13th the season before and was in absolute freefall. We had dropped half a division every year for about five years up until that point.
Not a single Charlton supporter had us down to absolute storm to 1st place.

Sorry but I and many others slated them when it was published and quite a few had bets on us to win the league

Ask Paddy Power How much he going to pay me and my boy are picking up if we win the league, so yes there where Charlton supporters who realised that Charlton where going to take the league by storm, he's already paid out on getting promotion.
I'm all for the Championship Predictor, and agree that proceeds should go to Admin. I think it must be money up front, and multiple entries should be allowed at the agreed fee per entry to increase the prize fund - and the donation to the cause.

My Will Hill betting slip disagrees with this post.
My dad runs a competition like this every year. Has done for the past 8ish years.
@Medders has played in the past, and this year @Plaaaaayer joined in. It costs a fiver and you predict where all the prem and champ teams will finish so its a one off thing that you don't have to look at it regularly like other fantasy football things. it costs a fiver to join and the money goes to charity after prizes are won. he did include League 1 the first year Charlton went down but then he got the hump seeing that we weren't going up so back to just the 2 leagues for the past 2 seasons.
I could ask him to send me the spreadsheet with the calculations with the templates etc if you like?
Am up for the champs-predictor, and will also be picking up a nice little pot should we be crowned champs. For once, it might quite literally pay to believe!!!

There is a big difference in putting some money on your own club to do something and genuinely believing they are going to be the top team after just finishing 13th the season before.
I can imagine the odds to bet on Charlton were healthy enough to tempt many to put a bit of dosh on the line just in case.
Had many been asked at the start of the season "who is going to win the league?", I guarantee you that very, very few would have put us down.

Everyone predicts the Championship finishing positions 1 to 24.
winner is the person with the smallest variance from the actual. ie Charlton this season would have scored 442 17 points
£5 or £10 per person. 25% to winner, 15% to runner up 10% to third. Remainder goes to paying for the CL servers.
Just need someone with spreadsheet skills to volunteer to update every week.
Agree monthly update probably best.
Not a single Charlton supporter had us down to absolute storm to 1st place.

I've done it before and as Suzi says it is a lot harder to get all the teams right than you'd think.
Only takes a couple of Blackpools to mess up your scores completely.
