Jordan Cousins

edited March 2012 in General Charlton
Case against him has been dropped, with no charges to answer.

Let's hope it hasn't adversely affected the lad too much and he can get on with his football.

Be grateful if we could leave the debate on whether the press should be allowed to name accused people before any charges are brought against them for another day please.

  • That is great news. I'll leave it there.
  • Many many years of Football ahead for him, sure it won't stunt his career!
  • GLad to hear it. It would have been a real shame if he had ruined his career in that way.
  • Excellent news, is he ready to be Chris Solly's understudy next season?

Would be nice if we can get promoted with games to spare so he can make a few appearances. Like Solly won't catch the eye with pace or skill, but an intelligent player who seems to have the right attitude.

Think it's more likely he'll go out on loan next season than step up to second choice RB.
  • Great news. The club handled the situation well.

Can i start that Tuesday then? ;-)

Great news for Jordan, really pleased, I am sure that the people at the club are the right sort of people to nurture him through any emotional stress he has which could be considerable. Just because the charges have been dropped does not mean that "banter" won't take place, I recall a comment regarding Dave Jones recently on CL, along with all the other stresses on a young player trying to make it as a pro, this is something that he Jordan could do without

  • Be nice if the Sun ran a story saying that as well

    Don't hold your breath cfgs!

Anyway, as Bart has asked, let's leave all that for another day..........thank god for that and good luck to the fella........he must have gone through absolute mental torture these last few weeks.
If you read this young man, good luck for the future and let's hope we see you in a first team Addicks shirt sometime in the not too distant future.

yep my bad, did not read past the main point and apologise for doing exactly what we were asked not to do.
  • Although it's sad he had to go through this, I suppose it's better it should happen while he's still with us and his career is still before him rather than being out on loan somewhere or just trying to break into the team and having it all derailed.
  • He's just turned 18 - it'd be good to see him in a match day squad before the season finishes.

  • Really pleased for the lad and his family , learn and grow from it Jordan you have a bright future ahead of you

Yeah couldnt agree more. Very quick to point the finger and speculate without any evidence and not as quick to apologise for causing a young lad untold grief. Scum.
  • They should be made to apologise with same big banner headlines.

  • Excellent news.

Let's hope he pushes on from here.
  • Good luck to the lad. Right time in his career where he can put it behind him. But it is a massive wake up call to him, he has to live his life professionally on and off the field. I made mistakes in my youth, and whilst it took a few years for me to change, each mistake certainly changed my behaviour and I had to improve as a person.

I'm looking forward to seeing you play Jordan. Did he play in the FA youth cup?
  • He played at Old Trafford

What mistakes has he made then? This ruling would suggest none.

  • To be fair, as soon as I saw he was still playing in the reserves and under 18's I thought he would be cleared of all charges, as I shouldn't think for a second the club would have wanted him around the place if they truly believed he had done anything wrong.

Ha read that quickly before my posting earlier post and read it as "Be grateful if we could leave it to havingthe debate on whether ...."
  • Very good news for Jordan and CAFC.
  • Not sure if you can say - but how did you find out?
  • Good for him......
  • Not sure if you can say - but how did you find out?
Reliable, I wouldn't have posted without being sure.
  • He is better than Chris Solly
