From my Bournemouth hotel room -

Hamer - 8 Looked solid -no real saves to make - went off with twisted ankle
Solly - 8 One slip up nut usual Solley other than that. MOTM
    Morrison - 8 Van't fault the defence
    Taylor - 8 ditto
Wiggins - 7 Not at best attacking wise but difficult game for him and came through it well
Green - 6 Not his best but good delivery for the vital corner
Hollands - 6.5 Worked hard - midfiled wasn'y at their best
    Stephens - 6.5 ditto
    Jackson - 6 ditto
BWP - 6 one decent effort early doors
Kermorgant - 8 Some class control and touches

One of our poorer displays which only confirms our championship credentials even more.
  • Docked whole defence a mark for defending deep.

comments should be avoided on this thread I know ..... having said that and in full awareness that I wasn't even there .... to mark a player "4" means an absolute and total shocker (perhaps responsible for a couple of goals conceded) ship the player out at once. It doesn't normally mean the player who yet again provided the assist for a goal, indeed the only goal and thus only asisst of the entire 94 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hamer - 7 Another clean sheet and some good distribution. Apart from that he wasn't tested.
Solly - 9 Just stuck like glue to Malone and hardly gave the ball away. Brilliant.
Morrison - 8 Another solid performance. Gave nothing away and composed on the ball.
Taylor - 8 Ditto. 1 Part of probably the finest defence I have ever seen.
Wiggins - 8 Not as effective going forward but was a rock at left back.
Green - 7 Extra point for the corner at the end. Gave the ball away far too often.
Hollands - 7 Not his best game but still worked his nuts off breaking up their play in the middle.
Stephens - 7 Broke up play and was not over run by their extra midfielder but got brushed off the ball too easily a cople of times.
Jackson - 7 Another solid performance.
BWP - 6 Should have shot when the ball was crossed to him instead of laying off poorly for Hollands. Looked tired in the second half.
Kermorgant - 8 Strong up front and won the majority of headers including the winner.

  • Sorry salad but were you there? Apart from not being available for a pass and not tracking back, Green delivered at least four hospital balls to Solly that a lesser player (Francis?) would have allowed a goal chance or been injured. The body language beteen the two was clear. Solly doesn't like playing with him. Bring on Waggy. The "assist" was a ball in the mixer, could have gone anywhere.

  • Don't usually go in for this "Match" magazine type of analysis, but thought Solly had a superb game today.

    Defence 8 each, except Solly - 9
    Keeper/Midfield 7 each, except Green -6
    Strikers 7 each

Like I said, I wasn't there and if he'd been rated 5 say I wouldn't have commented. As for "ball in the mixer", it wasn't that long ago we went 18 months without scoring from a corner, plus it continues an important run of assists - three at Chesterfield and one against Stevenage - goals win games.
  • Keep the comments for the other thread guys, or start a separate one. Cheers

Green - 5 added little going forward, not enough help for Solly who was often left 2 on 1
Hollands - 7 better than Wiggins on his return back to Bournemouth
Stephens - 6 anonymous, too many of those casual flick passes that look good but go nowhere
    Jackson - 6 anonymous
    BWP - 6.5
    Kermorgant - 7
Sullivan 6 - his kicking and distribution is significantly inferior to Hamer's
