As it's March now, come on then who's doing what days this year?
Doing the Tuesday this year, which looks to be the best day in terms of actual racing with the Arkle looking to be the pick with Hurricane Fly looking bombproof in the Champ Hurdle. Fancy Peddlers in the Arkle and have ante posts on him at various prices, although getting a touch worried about McCain suggesting the Jewson in recent days, instead.
Quevega - Mares
Big Bucks - World
Hurricane fly - Champ Hurdle
Look to be the festival bankers once more, but all at odds on, not really backable prices as singles.
Gold Cup doesn't look as strong as previous years with Long Run & Kauto at the head of the market, but not a lot else. Fancy Weird Al e/w as value.
Denman will be a big miss at this years festival.

Love Tuesday, the Supreme Novice hurdle is a fantastic opener and I had Al Ferof last year. Always seems to be a massive favourite in this race that inverabily fails. Love the Arkel and The Champion Hurdle too.
To me Tues and Weds are the best days racing and it will be a shame to miss the QM and the Coral Cup and I just love the Bumper.
8 of us going down on the 8.15 from Paddington, gawd knows what train we'll get back!
I'll hopefully be there for the Thursday, looking forward to it!
So any recommendations for a Cheltenham newbie such as myself?
Be prepared to have the time of your life fella. Gold Cup day is a bit mad, really busy but the atmosphere will be something special.
Your first ever day at Cheltenham lives with you forever.
Seriously Tatts is ok but tbh you do get all and sundry in there. Paying the extra for Club may well be worth considering, you can upgrade on the day, well most days but Friday may have sold out in the Club.
In Club you sre supposed to wear collerd shirt, no jeans etc but it's quite lenient.
*pop*
JT has probably covered the 3 bankers. Kauto story out today is a big shame, even if he gets there could be well under par.
Supreme - Steps to Freedom
Arkle - Al Ferof
Champion Hurdle - Binocular (Fly no price)
Over the last 15 years or so you had the occasional short price favourite winning: Moscow Flyer, Quevega, Big Bucks and Istabraq. But these are in specialist races. What you also thankfully get is ridiculously short priced favourites getting beaten. Often the winner of the Bumper will start next years Supreme Novice Hurdle well fancied, EG Dunguib and Cue Card. Once a year punters help this by lumping on these sort of horses and leaving an open field for the reat of us.
I've not done anything scientifc but have just scrolled through the last 15 years at Cheltenham and as a conservative estimate I'd say it averages at no more than 5 favourites per meeting winning. Of course there are more races now, 27 as opposed to the old 21 and there were freak years like '98 when M Pipe and AP McCoy cleaned up but I'd stick to 5 being the avaerage number of favs winning per meeting, I'd actually say it was more 4.7 than 5 to be honest.
1.30 Tetlami
2.05 Cue Card
2.40 Our Mick
3.20 Zarkander
4.00 Jacks Island
4.40 Swincombe Flame
5.15 That'll Do and Harpsy Cord
