Is anyone else getting grief about going to the game on Valentines night from er indoors? Why don't women understand? No chance I'm missing the game just wish the constant nagging would stop!

my Missus never even realised. Said only today that I would be ok to have the car next Tuesday as she had no craft group that night. Ignorance is bliss.
From day one I told the mrs I didn't believe in that rubbish.
If you can't treat the other half with love and respect all year round then it's pointless being with them.
Only once has she ever complained we didn't do anything so I told her she was welcome to have a meal , flowers and chocolates on the 14th feb but don't expect to get all the treats she currently gets throughout the rest of the year. Subject was swiftly dropped
I always thought Valentine's Day was day when you proffessed your love to someone and not for married couples. I think it is something the card and gift sellers have latched on to to make money, like fathers day and grandparents day. I have bought my wife a card as it would look bad if I didn't and it was only 99p in the card factory. I invested enough money in valentines gifts before we got married anyway! She comes to the Valley with me so not a problem and I'll buy her a romatic meal in MacDonalds or she can have a Wimpy at the ground if we are running a bit late.
Just don't EVER go out with someone who is not willing to take an interest in your hobbies and pass times. Use your head rather than your "old chap" when choosing a partner. Simple.
My dad gave me these pearls of wisdom when I got married many years ago 'Start as you mean to go on son'. Fortunately my other half accepted me for what I was, abandoned attempts at quelling my sporting interests early doors and has never tried to change me since. Still happily married and I am going to the game with her blessing. So remember 'what you see is what you get, I am what I am! Enjoy the game but remember to duck as you open the door when you get home!
Brilliant comments, she seems to think I'm the only one going to the game.I told her the attendance will be bigger than last Tuesday evening and she said no way it will be the lowest attendance of the season as not all men are like me!
