Is it time Waggy got his place back? Green is looking lazy when we haven't got the ball, gives away silly fouls which lead to bookings (like last night). I just think time on the sidelines might do him some good, also Waggy and Solly work brilliantly down the right.

we are a football club i did notice last night that green was visibly affected by the boo boys (why the hell do they do it? ) if we want our club to succeeed we ve got to have less of the negative from the support
so for me green is my choice every time but for gods sake lets get behind the boys rather than moan
Clark I can understand because he is jank but no excuse from Kermit due to his god like status.
It's not as simple as just playing the best crosser. How many goals have we actually scored from Green's crosses in open play?
Green obviously the better crosser but Wagstaff scores just as many, is quicker, fitter, stronger defensively and links up with Solly better.
Stephens is back now and Jackson also takes set pieces, so it's not like we need Green to give us a decent set piece taker.
We're also yet to see a good performance from Green Stephens Hollands Jackson as a midfield 4. Possibly better balanced with some pace and energy somewhere, which Wagstaff or Pritchard both offer. Maybe with BWP or Haynes starting we'll be ok though.
No place for Wagstaff in what should be an attack minded line up against the mighty 'Dale'.
Harry Gregory said:
'The thing is Haynes does not like playing wide-right, and Powell stated that he bought him as a striker.I would put Waggy and Hayes back on the bench permenantly as they can alter game plans.'
Harry, I was thinking Haynes, Kermo, and BWP in a 4-3-3.
Midfield of Hollands playing deep, Stephens and Jackson further forward.
Don't think we'll see Powell experiment with 4-3-3 again with the players we have at the moment.
Wagstaff with his fitness is probably more suited to it than most since he'll be able to support the main striker and get back to make it a 5 man midfield. BWP struggled out wide in a 4-3-3 last season (Exeter at home?).
he should be warming up tho cos green is not producing his best and may need a kick up the backside soon
I feel I have to explain myself as I think JJ is a genuine contender for player of the year and I am not being critical of him at all, but sometimes you have a case for horses for courses. I'd always have him in against better more adventurous sides and for away games, but we don't need to have that extra pass in the middle against the weaker sides, we need to counter the fact they are trying to crowd out our strikers. Yesterday they suceeded although we did create 7 or 8 chances that on another day would have got more than a solitary goal. If we had set up as I am suggesting I think we would have had more chances and does anybody think Rochadle will approach Saturday's game any differently?
The solution isn't to bring Waggy in, it is to get more options for Green.
Powell knows his best team (which includes Green over Wagstaff and Hamer over Sullivan), he watches them everday in training and he has driven them to be the best team in League 1 (10 points clear of second), therefore, please leave all team decisions to him!!
Let's just enjoy where we are - it's been a while...!
